EU LCS Summer Promotion Tournament 2017 - professionally made LR thread edition
6th April 2017, 17:00 CEST Giants Gaming vs Fnatic Academy
7th April 2017, 17:00 CEST Origen vs Misfits Academy
13th April 2017, 14:00 CEST Winners match
What if Origen are actually strategic masterminds and they intentionally lost all matches in the regular split to surprise everyone in the playoffs? (relegation are playoffs too)
|
Its gonna be FNC.A and Giants making it through right? Does anyone think Misfits.A or OG stand even a small chance?
|
Definitely Giants, not sure about academy teams.
|
Both top laners have had terrible decision making this series, the difference is that Jisu makes up for it with good plays, Satorius doesn't. Hope MFA takes this series, even if they're just as bad as OG (which I don't think) having a new team instead of Peke and the clowns is refreshing.

Well one of the academy teams is getting through the winners match after Misfits.A dumpsters OG

Aw shit for some reason I thought Giants were the team who won yesterday. I meant to say that Fnatic is definitely getting through and I'm not sure who's going to be second, either Giants or Misfits.A.
Rofl Origen plays like it's allergic to winning

I for one am happy to see this OG out of LCS (I don't believe they'll make it through the losers bracket. The fact Peke had to play instead of fielding an actual support main says a lot, and the whole previous roster must've had good reasons to jump the boat. The replacement players were mediocre at best (Naehyun wasn't even the problem, although his general lack of map presence summarizes the proactivity of OG quite nicely).
MFA looked good today. They had some weaknesses but they outclassed OG in pretty much every aspect of the game, hence they didn't drop a game. Felt FNA played better though, and Giants are substantially better than OG, so they will probably have to duke it out with Giants.
|
Holy shit both LCS might actually lose. I think FNC.A could take out either
EDIT: That play reminded me of SoloQ where your adc pings dragon a hundred times and says "fuck it" then does it themselves. Its just in soloQ I'm used to someone finding out
|
Welp, this is pretty much expected after Giants lost to FNA. The LCS and Origen are better off with them being relegated.
|
|
Would bet on Fnatic but they disappointed me yesterday so I dont think its a safe bet. Amazing is bad, Kikis ane Nisqy are unreliable, the bot lane is just okay. Giants are worse but can beat them with some luck.
RIP Origen, don't try to come back please.

Their owners have to sell one of their teams. Owners whose teams were relegated (like xPeke) have to wait 1 year before they can buy an LCS team.

They both have to get sold off. Well one of the two spots have to be and 3/5 of the players in the challenger squad needs to play in the LCS. So in theory Fnatic/Misfits could sell their spot and keep their Fnatic.A/Misfits.A spot if they believed that the Academy teams were better. OG and Giants, unless the rules have changed, aren't allowed to buy back into the LCS for some period of time (I think its a split).
Now if they can't find interested parties to sell the teams to I'm curious as to whether Riot would change the rules and allow Riot approved exceptions to that rule and allow OG/Giants to purchase the spots they got kicked out of

The casting is so bad today
|
Welp both Challenger Series teams got into the LCS.
|
Both Challenger teams made it into LCS, I think that's pretty awesome, next split is going to be refreshing. Also, no OG dumpster fire, sad for Giants though.
|
Whch means 2 new orgs coming into EU LCS. Is there already speculation about who it might be?
|
Maybe PSG and Schalke will just buy their way in.
