Keep the rage to a minimum. This includes wait times between games, music, and balance.
Fair warning to all. |

I feel like CLG.eu's playstyle is just too Froggen-centric overall. This only began a few months ago when they just began competing in the major EU tournaments and Froggen just carried them out of situations when they really should have lost. Then, in later tournaments, other teams began camping Froggen in response, and Froggen began to practise more and more farming mids and taxing Snoopeh's jungle to stay ahead so that he can "carry" while yellowpete finally farmed up some major items.
CLG.eu needs to go back to basics and focus on having an overall strategy that can work in the current tournament scene. Their dependence on Froggen and Froggen's current farming mentality is hurting them just as much as yellowpete's underwhelming performances and Wickd's small champ pool. They need to broaden their game understanding and be flexible enough to respond to the various ways that other teams use to counter them. Clearly CLG is going to kick their jungler, and top will switch to jungle because his top champ pool is too small. CLG.EU will not kick snoopeh, use your brain a little man they just got 3-4 in the grand final, why should they change their roster. They need to improve their early / mid game and some people need to extend their pool of hero (wickd for exemple). Froggen said all the things I said in his AMA on reddit btw. Please tell me you're not serious. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease. I mean, if you didn't get what I was not-so-subtly hinting at.... I dunno, man. I dunno. Yeah my bad didn't sleep enough.

Just like my interest in the NHL play-offs dies when my team goes out there. Which I assume is his too, why bother to watch 2 teams I don't care for? The analogy I like to use is that I'm going to watch the Super Bowl no matter what. Sure, I'm going to enjoy it a hell of a lot more if my favorite team is in it, but I'm still going to watch regardless.

I only watch a game with any 'passion' if I have a horse in the race - if I care about the victor. If my Minnesota Vikings aren't in the NFL playoffs, I don't bother to watch or, for that matter, follow them.
In any case, I would rather LoL didn't become another game where finals were dominated by Asia v. Asia. Because of the language/culture barrier, Asian teams are naturally going to appear more 'faceless' to those of us in the west. It's difficult to have, say, a HSGG level of "love him or hate him" going on when most interactions are awkward or mediated by translators. Frankly, I want a shot at seeing someone I know (say the hilarious/entertaining bloke that is SV) in the finals.

As long as the players are talented and I have base knowledge of the them (which is easy to obtain just from watching the other states of the World Championship) I'm going to watch it. They are the best of the best for a reason. I love the Browns, but I can't say they would provide an entertaining Super Bowl against a competent team.
Edit: I realize you said team, not players, but I think one likable player is all it takes for a team to gain followers. There was plenty of Najin Sword flair on Reddit from MakNooN fans.

For Wednesday's games, I just realized there were no spectators and you can see people working on the stage in the background. I was going batshit crazy with all the beeping thinking I was hearing things -_-

I guess it's just a difference between enjoying a team and personalities vs enjoying the game (not that you don't enjoy the game either, but u know what i mean)

Just follow the scene more and you'll realize that speaking another language doesn't prevent them from having personalities (I don't speak Korean or mandarin)
I mean, watch Stanley's nidalee, or shy's singed, or misaya's tf, or zztais's everything, and tell me you don't get a sense of personality. Think about m5, noone who didn't follow the eu scene knew who they were, they barely stream and they don't talk much. But after bein exposed to them... Well, you get the idea.

You definitely have the right to this opinion, nobody should tell you otherwise, but as others have said above if you take the short amount of time to get an idea of the teams they come to life. Before IEM Kiev there wasn't nearly as many M5 fans as there was afterwards. What if M5 had instead been an asian team, would there be as big of a following? Perhaps.
Point being, if you try a tiny amount to familiarize yourself with teams, then you can get more in touch with a team other than what their nationality is. You don't have to speak their language to like their play, their attitudes, and their teamwork.

See, I win in every way. If an NA team gets through I can say "YEAH, USA." And then if a European team makes it in, I happen to like both M5 and CLG.eu so I can be like "YEA EU." And then if an Asian team comes in, I can go "Yeah, ASIANS", showing off my Asian superiority.

No! You must be nationalistic/support your country/region/race. Damn you! You need to be more biased! For the good of starting wa-, er... esports.

See, it's not the Asian thing that bothers me, it's purely the teams, and I mean, there's still half a chance I watch it anyway, it's just not gonna be a thing I care if I miss it if something else comes up. *whee run-on sentences*
