At any point of IEM Season 6 Championship, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Hannover but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 06.03.2012

That being said, I actually think that the M5 vs CIJ semi (should it happen) will be, for all intents and purposes, the grand finals. That's specifically what I mean if you think that counterjungling is somehow their secret winning strategy that their entire gameplay is based around. Alex Ich is going to outplay Jiji so incredibly hard it's not going to be funny.

He is not going to be able to do that against Saint. And the odd thing about jiji is he never gets outplayed badly. Sure he might lose a lane buy a little, but he aint pulling a regi from the SK game. Top lane becomes a wash, Mid I would mark as a wash, Saint gets an edge in jungle and M5 takes the edge bot. I think we might actually see what happens when M5 is faced with having to straight outplay a team lategame without getting a huge advantage early.

True, good point. Forgot about those games. But my thought (which I did a poor job of expressing) was the idea that LI7 is the best late game team in the world. M5 is gonna have to try to face that down, likely without the benefit of a massive early lead.

Not writing M5 off but CLG definitely have the ability to deal with their playstyle, plus as someone else mentioned they have the advantage of CLG.EU probably scouting them pretty hard. CLG will have done their homework. Also I'm surprised when people talk about TSM's failing this tourney no one has mentioned Chaox's poor performance - he lost / went even in lanes he should have crushed, and got caught out of position constantly. Lots of really uncharacteristic mistakes from him.

Look at his stats over the group stages. 16-3-38 overall I don't see anyone on CLG falling apart, if they lose it'll be due to messy teamwork. If m5 tries to play as aggressively as they do on CLG I foresee them getting punished. They get away with too much against a lot of teams, but it seems all the good teams have punished them and taken an early lead. They came back with good teamfighting, but CLG has really good teamfighting as well.

Those are both the roles of whoever is calling shots- not necessarily the jungle. TOO just hasnt adapted to the new jungle. He simply cant farm. Its basically the equivalent of trying to play mid while only csing every other wave, and only playing AP sona. You just cant do it. Pretty much this. To say that someone is a good jungler because they time buffs is ridiculous. I'd be utterly shocked if everyone here was uncapable of a) timing a buff b) telling the lane they are ganking in X seconds. It isn't something that requires skill at all. All it requires is pressing the enter button.

He isn't a mid who's gonna gank very often (unless he plays TF). He's a teamfight AP carry, it's where he shines. During his slump phase he never was losing lanes hard or anything he just didn't have map presence (which he's gotten better on now imo) and he would fuck up some in team fights which was weird because that's actually his strongest point imo. But yeah, he's just about the only AP carry who consistently gets farmed in lane no matter what.
