[IEM] Kiev Discussion - Page 85
Forum Index > LoL Tournaments |
At any point of IEM Kiev, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. (e.g. "Day 2: M5 hype was everything people expected") At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Kiev but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 20.1.2012

Riot just has the right idea when it comes to promoting LoL tournaments - put a link in the client so anyone can find it. It's hard to compare it to Dota2 since Valve is behind it and there is a lot of hype for it. It also has a large player base in China so I think someone said that there were ~1 mil viewers for The International.

I'm getting more excited for these games than for some SC2 matches. Also the SC2 player line-up is not epic enough.

I have to insult you now!" but lol is not ESPORT? (am I doing it right?) people start saying how m5 is throwing away the game... m5 doesn't give up another death. Somehow I knew it would be dignitis TSM m5 and sk qualifying. I don't think anyone is giveing a chance for sk to beat m5 and that makes them dangerous. dig vs TSM is going to be a good match lots of drama between them. Either way this is M5's dominating entrance to the global world of lol.

Also, was Deman on one of the games full-time and JoeJoeMillerMiller on the other, and thus there'll be a chance for full VoDs of both games? It'd be great to see Scarra's hijinks with Superb Villain Veigar, &c..

Deman: You've come top of the group. You're going to play SK next. What do you think of them? They've lost to TSM, and you're personally going to play Oce. How do you see the match going? Alex Ich: It'll be interesting. A lot depends on the picks. We haven't shown everything in the group stage and we have secret strategies prepared. We'll make up our mind on the day. We going to pick around Ocelote. We also want to have something prepared for TSM. Deman: You say "prepared for TSM". So you predict TSM > Dignitas? Alex Ich: Yeah. TSM has shown to be very strong and Dignitas isn't as good. Deman: What edges does TSM have over Dignitas? Alex Ich: They have a psychological edge. They have a lot of support in USA. Here in EU player support more fragmented. Also TSM knows Dignitas better than us so they would be more prepared to play them than we were against Dignitas. Deman: You stream a lot. Alex Ich: Yeah. We try to stream. Genja stream, farm bot lane all the time. So I get the viewers haha. Other guys on team no good computer, don't stream. Deman: Any surprised you've seen so far in this Group? Alex Ich: I thought that aAa would advance. I said that if aAa did not *something something* then they would lose. And they didn't. It's like the SK v TSM game where Oce LB had to play Sion. Game was over before it began. Deman: So it's a tactical advantage and psychological mindset. What goes on in pick selection? Is it just pick whoever you want or strategy? Alex Ich: When I see CassiOPeia, I know I just pick Galio. When we cointoss, I know we want second pick. THis way we get two picks first. So then we ban and pick adapting. They take Skarner so we instantly take Sona and Graves. Genja chooses the bot lane. He just goes with what he knows works. Kennen, Koggles, whatever he feels. Deman: How do you feel about the CyberArena? Alex Ich: Yay, I like it very much haha. No such club in Russia so it is great. Meeting all these people you only see online. Only met my team irl 3 weeks ago. Deman: Moscow 5 treating you well? Alex Ich: Yeah. Good contract. We get contacted. Moscow 5 want League of Legend team. They give us contract and move us to give us practise and help. Uh, they. Hm do not know how to sell. They help us a lot. Deman: It's SK and M5 in CounterStrike Semifinals as well haha. So viewers, please don't get confused by tomorrow's results haha. Don't get snowed in tomorrow, it's snowing hard. Oh, go you have Twitter or Facebook? We can't find you. Alex Ich: No. But I have Facebook. Deman: You're going to get a lot of friends now! Alex Ich: Haha. I'm on Russian Facebook. Don't worry. Deman: Shoutouts? Alex Ich: *Russian* Deman: I'm just going to trust that was all teen rated haha. Alex Ich: :3 Deman: Well that's all for today. TSM v Dignitas and M5 v SK tomorrow. Tune in tomorrow! Alex Ich: *does V sign with fingers as stream cuts off*

Just use xsplit to record the off stream game and upload it later without commentary. This would be AMAZING ![]()
