Should be 5.19. Was a copy/paste mistake.

That leashing update sounds like its either going to be amazing for junglers or incredibly frustrating, we'll see.

Appears to just be quantifying and showing what it already does but cleaner. Hopefully they haven't fucked it completely.
Bring on preseason pls
Finally MF's ult may actually deal damage. How that took so long will forever remain a Riot mystery.

Can Kayle even jungle now lol? The patience mechanic completely removed soft resets (as soon as the camp deaggroes from distance it hard resets). This killed so many champions in the jungle, holy shit.

kind of a odd change when for a long time it seemed like they wanted jungle diversity and now so much less.
|
It falls in line with their jungle philosphy. They always claim they want diversity but whenever that happens they quickly make changes to cut out most of the pool.
|
Balancing the jungle will remain one of the eternal mysteries to the Riot Balancing Department.
|
How many people have actually played around with the new system, I wonder.

Well, you can't do gromp over the wall anymore in bot lane, that's one pretty sizeable change for adc's.

What's the jungle strategy if you can't safely take your first buff and you need help from Krugs/Gromp to effectively jungle? It's happened to me twice in Rengar vs Shaco, or I had a game where I was forced into jungling Irelia vs enemy Xin Zhao, and my response has been pretty ineffective.
Do you start the buff camp? Or beg TP top laner to double jungle the opposite side of the map with you? I've tried doing the buff camp after a smite camp anyways, and dropping a ward but if the enemy jungler comes to challenge and your team isn't ready you have to just back out and it seems very ineffective.

Basically, if you're scared of getting counterjungled or invaded at lvl2 like a lot of junglers like to do after doing a camp, just start the opposite side of map. Top laners even with TP will almost never double jungle with you because its soloQ not competitive so you have to sustain yourself.
Blue side-> Beg top laner to help with gromp(smite) then take blue, raptors, and by this point check red; If he did invade then it will be gone, if not it will be up just ward the bush from over the wall and take it with smite, then finally golems. This should get you a full level 3 and halfway to 4. Purple side-> Same thing, start krugs, red, raptors, blue(if still up), then gromp, recall.
Counterjungling doesnt set you that far behind as long as you stay alive as the non-buff camps give a lot more exp now. Taking scuttle crab also gives you a nice chunk of change for free. And if all goes to shit, just gank more than the other jungler and get your lanes ahead while hes in your jungle messing around. Buying a green ward or 2 first recall along with your jungle upgrade also helps a lot with detecting invades and you can ping your lane and hopefully he comes to converge for a free kill. Remember to also keep your HP healthy with pots because it makes you a less juicy target for the invader and he will think twice of fighting you when your HP is full rather than half.

ok, rengar player here. So you start from the blue buff side. Start with wolves, kill the small ones, don't touch the big one, then go to blue, kill the small ones, don't touch the buff, then go gromp, kill-smite it, then go to big wolf and kill it, now you have lvl 3 due to the weird way lvl/exp system works without killing the blue buff (so you are kind of in a good health state). Then you can decide - go on their red to counter jungle, depends if you think that they started blue, or go the nearest crap to take river control or go to your red (you have smite up) and take it. Then you can continue the way you want and you mess your buff timings as well, so counter jungling becomes harder for the enemies.

One trick I used to do back when I was playing Sejuani while Lee was super popular was to ward the banana bush behind your first buff camp at 1:30.
You still have time to get to gromp, and if they try to lvl2 invade your buff the fastest route goes through that ward. If you see them you may have to just gtfo, but it prevents you getting killed.
Also, IMO changing your jungle route is dumb unless you have the forward wards to know what he's doing. Even a Shaco will only invade you like, 50% of the time. Why would you slow your clear in 100% of games to protect against what is likely a minority of games?
Just ward for him and give up a buff if you can't fight.
