I know that in Korea they have Jaedong vs Flash and an Archon showmatch, plus Nada's wedding on AfreecaTV
I also know that Harstem will host the EU event in Germany and I think TakeTV is involved? Really not sure.
When should I tune in and where? Will we have showmatches? Who will play? I could not find any info about it and there is nothing in the TL calender.
It seems weird that there has been no official announcement. Or did I just miss it? Will their be a live audience? Can anybody provide some information?

I know you opened this specifically for the european event, but i think it would be a good idea to include all the events in this thread and make it some sort of LR thread for it.

LOTV will be released and available to play in europe in 16 hours and 17 minutes?
thats not november 10th, thats november 9th!
nevermind, at closer inspection I realize all content scheduled between 16:30 and 00:00 is non-LOTV reliant, I assume that means LOTV is expected to launch precisely at midnight in europe between the 9th and 10th. which means in 22 hours 47 minutes from now.

WoL single player was really good. I hope LotV is more like WoL than HotS -- which felt more like "Build 200/200 of OP roaches and walk around with Kerrigan destroying everything."
You need marine suicide teams to kill Kerrigan (or at least to soak her spells), otherwise she just steamrolls through your tanks later in the game. There's not that much gas on the map, so you cant make infinite tanks.

That's where you mass vikings and build a few bunkers on each entrance to your main.
I played WoL Campaign on brutal ~2 months ago. There are 3 missions that I can't finish. Odin mission, 4 heroes mission and last one.
odin sucks, just go all out get a second base as quick as you can, have some scvs repairing odin and see if you can kill bases/big stuff like tanks with wraiths before odin attacks
for heroes u mean the underground where you kill nydus? that explains why you can't beat the last mission....
for the last mission use the bunny strat on mass tank right beneath/on the high ground. have 30 bio units ready to kill kerrigan

I have them all finished (although it's been a while since I last played it). I think the only one that was a struggle for me on brutal was the air platform mission (that disables all Zerg air for the final mission).

I did that strat at last one, kerrigan is too op vs 30 bio, especially her splash attacks. I always lost to kerrigan and not vs zerg army.
Most missions you were gas starved to some degree (some maps worse than others) so thats why I just went M&M. I'd have I think 3 rax with reactors, 2 with techs and that is all the infrastructure you'd really need. Then just make your ebays to sink the rest of your gas.
I think of maybe all the campaign missions I found the first LotV prequel mission the most difficult. I liked how they combined resource starvation with a time limit as well. I ended up winning by going DTs the start out (the Terran lacks detection at the front part so you can make your way through with DTs without needing a real army), then switching to Colossus for the middle section when they had scans, then sending some DTs to where the Terran is making it's final stand to assist with cleanup there while pushing my Colossus army through to the end. It actually made me stop and think of some strategy instead of just cheesing the mission.
I just made a gateway/immortal force and microed that as well as I could until I got to expand, then I added colossi. With them sentries restoring shields it's pretty easy.

The annoying thing in that mission is expanding because the Terran has OP 3/3 Warhounds that trade cost effectively against level 60 Kerrigan.

I admit, defending and expanding was hard, but a 30+ muta flock is an insta win because you can go around the Terran units and defenses and straight up snipe the building you have to kill to win.

Immediately tech to Dark Shrine. Make like 3-5 DTs and clear out the first areas until they get detection. Once they get detection you need a few Stalkers to snipe the Raven and run away to have the DTs clean up. So you should have probably 3 Gateways. Behind this you need to double robo and slap down the robo bay. Double produce Colossus. For the middle section you're going to need Colossus/Zealot/Stalker. Once you get to the final area the Zerg is probably there as well. Make some DTs and hold position them at the ramp leading into the Terran defenses. This way you can help the Terran out so they don't die too soon. Push the final area with your Colossus/Zealot/Stalkers for the win. Remember to keep a probe with your army to keep throwing down pylons for gateway warp-ins. You can defend your base at the start with just some cannons (there is a magic number -- I think 5) to repel the initial attacks while you're power teching to DTs.

I managed to fail tha 3rd prologue missions a few times, because I microed way too sloppily in the final section. The other parts are pretty easy.
I agree with Bunny. It felt like LotV was less build-order-win dependent than HotS. Possibly because you start with such a healthy eco from the get-go so you can get whatever you need. But it was refreshing not obsessively trying to read my opponent's BO knowing if I didn't get it right I could very easily lose the game then and there.
I didn't even bought the game but I'm watching this. The is just too expensive for something that I'm not sure if I will get value from. At least watching is cool.

It's extremely strange to be releasing 5 gb of data half an hour before launch though. Either Blizzard has immense bandwidth at their disposal or something went wrong.

I hope something went wrong because it's quite stupid otherwise, especially since we already had a lot of things to download prior to those 5GBs.

I don't think they have. my speed is already crawling 14 kbps because apparently everyone and their mother wants to download from blizzard now.
I'm leaning towards the launcher displaying bullshit stats, intentionally or not. It makes more sense to decrypt local data at this time with a remotely sent key than actually download it.
I can confirm: If you install the game from the DVDs of the physical release it's the same as if you've preloaded it. You have do download the 4,5 GB patch anyway. In fact installing it from the DVD resets the patch, so you have to download it again, if you made some progress before.

The sad state of DVD gaming :x
You get a cool box though!
My box still hasn't been sent, so I'll probably have to wait two more days. Kind of regretting it now lol

I kinda needed the box so SC2 can be displayed complete on my shelve. Theres no way I could've left that incomplete. (actually the box itself would've been enough lol. no need for the dvds in it)

Yeah my launcher is displaying BS stats. If i pause and hit start again, the progress changes by gigabytes. It tells me that it's downloading three times faster than the rate actually going through my ethernet connection.

By the way, I still haven't purchased LotV, will I have anything to download when I want to buy the game ?
Me neither ... I will give it some time ... at least I can do the campaigns for the first two parts ... I have never been interested in the single player campaigns and today at this event, they inspired me to do it :-) The final episode of Wings of Liberty looked nice :-)
Holy shit, the ping is godly. I have not played any games on the EU server after the LotV beta was down. And this feels so good compared to the beta server .
I'm sorry, but the stream is so boring I can literally fall asleep. One 5 minute match, 20-30 minutes of waiting, watching some dudes doing nothing. This is supposed to be launch event! So far there were no launch, nor there was any 'event' going on.

Well they are having trouble with the servers so the FFA is delayed, but I think the show was awesome so far, very nostalgic trip through the WoL/HotS tournaments as well as the campaign.
Tomorrow you will get a whole archon mode tournament with all the 16 pros at Take's place.

Yeah it's really nice, I didn't play beta too much because of the ping.
Somehow, taking into account the amateur conditions, this is a pretty good show. I am just wondering for the next season, how will WCS look like ... on BlizzCon, they mentioned, the system will be probably very similar (or the same), but there will be a bigger support of amateur tournaments ... I would be excited if e.g. events like Homestory cup and Hell It's Aboot Time would get A FEW WCS points ... e.g. 90 points for the winner, 60 for the second place. 45 3rd and 4th ... it would get a bit more sense to play there as it would be "official" ...

Lol what? The only Reason HIAT did not give 1800 in total and 300 for the winner like copenhagen games was because Basetrade wanted more freedom (for example with the maps). Otherwise they would have given 300 for the winner and in total 1800 points. Homestory Cups gave in the past over 4000 points with 750 for the winner, just like IEMs and Dreamhacks with 25k$ prizepool. But as HSC 10 was directly after Blizzcon and had only 4 Qualifierslots, they didnt gave points and HSC 11 did not gave points because Blizzard didnt liked Kinguins Sponsorship as their Handbook tells you to not have Keyseller-Sponsors for tournaments. HSC 12 could give again over 4000 points in total and 750 for the winner. Depending on decisions of TaKe about Qqualifiers and sponsors and Blizzard about accepting sponsors. And both tournaments are far aaway from being "amateur", they might have different approach to production and crowd, but HSC 11 was won by the fresh GSL Champ Rain.

Ah, OK, thanks for the info ... I started watching it seriously including these small tournaments this season ... Having both tournaments 1800 points would be quite big ... I mean "amateur" that they are not organized by some professional company like Intel or MSI, but rather by a group of enthusiastic people, who do not have the huge company machine behind them. I had no idea, HIAT could have some WCS points at all.
