Point being, how good an archon is doesn't only depend on the skill of the players individually, but how good they are at archon, and how well they work together. So if you take two pro gamers and let them play archon for the first time against a single pro of similar skill, it will probably be a very open game. But if you let the two pros practice archon for a week together (not that that will ever happen) they will probably win a vast majority of the games. So essentially the same as 2 on 2. Also, I'm like gold or something, and have only played a few games, to take my extrapolation for what it is. ![]()

Played like 15-20 games as random (mostly P and T) is the current meta is just macroing til like 100 supply before any action starts?. It feels that me and most of my opponents just macro and max out before anything happens. That's not a meta...that's just how you are deciding to play / your opponent is deciding to play. Deciding not to attack because your opponent is not attacking is very different from deliberately not attacking as apart of your game plan. Some players (especially Zerg players) are not comfortable attacking and risking loss in the mid-game. There are other defensive oriented builds that do not require damage of any form to be dealt to come to fruition. Other builds use triggers to work pressures in. But if you want to attack earlier in the game, come up with some logical times to pressure your opponent based on your build! Take the initiative to create the sort of pace you want.

When are people going to start streaming LotV again? The Dh model that TL was pushing for has a worker mine, short pause, mine, short pause, return load. The bw style had the worker just take twice as long to mine a load of minerals. Using the Bw style, players are at more of a disadvantage if they pull workers to deal with cheese. Making early aggression stronger. With DH you get the same curve almost, but can pull workers half way through the cycle if needed without the econ hit. I think artosis brought up the downside, because of how ZvZ worked in BW. It was very hard if you needed to pull drones to defend vs lings, because of the long mine times.

It seems like I get three bases and lose to moderate aggression (not an all in, but pressure with an expand behind it), or I stay on two and can hold off the aggression but am behind in resources because of the relatively poor trading that zerg does vs other races. I don't want any build help, i was just wondering if other zerg players had the same general feeling. Thanks.
