Thanks to Reddit sleuths, everyone can try the LotV test maps by following instructions here.

Note: This is not a beta key, it is simply access to Vs. AI and a Unit Tester. I have no idea how cool with this Blizzard is or is not, use at your own risk.

I think you're confused, the Disruptor is a T3 unit, not a T1 or T2 one. Rest assured no one's going to bunker bust you early game with Disruptors.

They said units that are warping in are easier to kill until they're actually on the battlefield iirc.

Pretty awesome! Did you notice that units are outlined when behind a structure? Will make it make traps with units hidden behind buildings, e.g. widow mines.

I'm honestly not sure what the point of the disruptor is to begin with. Provide additional AoE? There's already storm and colossi also exist. I guess the point might be to strengthen Protoss early on so you don't die to the first Terran moveout after stim's done and to weaken speedling rushes, but I mean, the options against that already exist. And against the inevitable ravager rushes you'd probably rather build immortals anyway.

My bad, I just pressed F3 and typed warpgate.
Still, they also wanted to increase warp-in time to 8 seconds, but they didn't talk about that.

Imo it's good they didn't go for that, from what I see holding multiple bases sucks enough for Protoss as is, no reason to butcher defensive warp-ins.

Mostly interesting changes, only the Oracle change has me worried.

A full 60 second forced decloak AND vision? As if Cloaked Banshees and Dark Templar weren't rare enough already.
I honestly prefer the WoL days when it comes to Cloak units, atleast there they had an impact.
Now the only use is in PvT if Terran gets completely caught off guard.
Why must Protoss be immune to Cloak/Burrow units?

As for the stasis, this will dominate the early game.
Just rush out two Oracles, stasis the mineral line and vaporize anything else.
Zerg will have a massive issue as well as you can just stasis the Queen(s) and then melt the Drones.

Sometimes I wonder if Blizzard has put the Oracle on some holy status.

Disruptors are going to be...interesting if not horribly bunker-busting OMGWTFBBQ overpowered, but we'll have to see.
I can already imagine Warp Prism dropping a few of them into a mineral line.
You could even time it with stasis expiring for laughs.
EDIT: They're a T3 unit? I thought they were T1/T1.5 like Sentries?
If T3 it would be more balanced, though Forcefield + Disruptors...scary thought.

Terran and Zerg changes look more interesting.
For the new Terran unit I am hoping for either a Starport unit that can engage both ground and air or something else to help Mech with mobility and AA.

Dropping Tanks is going to be fun to try out, not sure how it'll fare against Zerg in the early game though, could be OP but atleast we get a chance to find out.
Not sure about the Swarm Host, more mobility and less siege-and-forget is good but flying Locusts? Hmmm....

Interesting set of changes. It will be interesting to see how it all works out in the long run, because I know the game when delivered will look nothing like this. Well, it may have some vague similarities.

Also, I've been in every beta so far for StarCraft 2, so here's hoping for number three.
