E also has such a vast difference between usual case and optimal case. If her win rate really is garbage even after people learn her, maybe she needs more damage on the initial cast and less by blowing up the stones.
To me I feel like you will see her run in team comps that can abuse her ult more than anything else. The most obvious one to me is Rumble's ult: wall off the escape or cut a lane in half, lay down the Rumble ult and watch them burn. I can see her getting used in a support/peel role as well, thanks to E and W mostly. I just wish the ult did damage if it hit a champion, mainly because it's basically Earthshaker's 1 ability only on a 2 minute CD.

Her winrate day1 might also be meaningless as the general concensus has changed from q max to e max since yesterday.

Its really too bad she has no ability to take dragon. She isnt bad at clearing camps, and her ult is way better from jungle.

What situation is Ryze in atm? Playing him recently and I can't tell how good he is as people just doesn't seem to know his abilities. I like winning but when you pick up free kills from champions trying to 1v1 you randomly or adc wanting a fist fight he feels like they are failing more than I am winning. Also don't want to get stuck on a champ if he is going to get gutted some time soon.

That or flashing on helpless fools that just used thier escape to farm.

There's very little counterplay available when his whole kit atm revolves around walk up to somebody with 3-4 stacks, unload spells for 3 seconds, and if they die you snowball.

I think Ryze W needs to be a skillshot in addition to the Q, and I think he needs to be a lot squishier naturally for the amount of damage he gets.
I perma ban it, because I don't really like dealing with him. I just don't like him as a champion. Either he is snowballed and just runs at and kills everything or he is useless.
At some point you actually have to fight the Ryze for something unless you picked the most obnoxious poke comp with ridiculous siege and disengage and you have absolutely perfect vision control and TP ward denial.
|
I think his q damage nerf is bigger than people think, considering how his combos work it can easily add up to 100+ damage lost in 1 combo
oh my bad I guess that wasn't pushed to live yet.

Doesn't really matter, if he caught you he caught you and you will stay caught.

its more the instant cast that catches people. Ryze is not that tanky :/ he gets a lot of spellvamp during ult to its misleading. He also has alot of MS from keystone and ult so its hard to lock him down.

Even if behind, he is hella tanky once he gets Seraphs, RoA, and GA. You can't burst him at all, and in the extended fight he beats everything in the game pretty much unless he is way behind.
|
They should just turn him into AP darius.
|
Ryze's ability to go 3rd item GA and be fine if one of the prime "this champion is stupid" signals in League. Kind of like how you used to be able to rush GA on Diana.

Ryze W as a skillshot would need like triple the duration or a huge damage buff. The current iteration of Ryze's kit needs to be mostly OP because his reworked Q is probably the worst skillshot in the game.
Also, theoretically his power spikes are obvious to opponents and thus you can plan around them so the spike also needs to be OP like when Gnar rages.

I think they make it a skillshot and leave it as is.
People said it was a ridiculous nerf making his Q a skillshot, here he is today shitting on everything just the same as then. It is already one of the longest CC's in the game. It also has huge range, and it is point and click, and it is spammable.
I also think he can just roll over things when he isn't "spiking" regardless. Not to mention, he is always "spiking" except for some times in lane. No good Ryze is showing up to any fight ever without passive primed to crush some kids after a combo.
Atleast Gnar'd R plays are kind of impressive to make, any old idiot can roll their keyboard and smash kids with Ryze. In any 40+ minute game, chances are you will see Ryze having dealt the most and taken the most damage in the game by wide margins every time unless the enemy team has Janna / Ez / Azir or something equally impossible for Ryze to reach.
I think LoL is a better game without Ryze. He is pretty much old Mordekeiser with CC and range. Either you poop on him real hard, kite him real hard, and finish the game early, or he wins. Every time.
|
Ryze also gets 15 HP per cast from the catalyst passive, so this adds up easily to 30+ HP per second, or burst healing when he first triggers his passive.

If you don't see the huge changes they made to the rest of his kit to make the Q change work... I don't know what game you play.

Isn't a binary outcome always what happens in a game of LoL? Are you in some kind of quantum-dimension where people can have 0,7 win and 0,3 loss after a game? How do you actually experience this polarity of a game with Ryze in it? Isn't it the same story with a Twitch on your or the enemy's team? What about Jinx? What about Azir? What about any other hyperscaling champion in the game that needs to be locked down with cc before you can kill them decently?
Actually Ryze is some kind of mage juggernaut (albeit less tanky) that should be treated as one instead of your generic burst/control mage. If he gets on a carry and can't be kited, he'll win the game for you. And he should, since he was able to get close to your carries.

The benefit with E max first is it lets you trade better and clear waves faster, but if you don't land the combo (E-W) you eat through your mana pool insanely fast. This forces her into getting RoA first, which isn't a bad item if you want to go tanky, but the next items you get are going to be Ryleis - Liandrys - Void, leaving you with only 1 item slot left.
Q max first probably lets you farm safer (lower mana cost, shorter CD, more damage) but you give up any pretense of 1v1ing your opponent.

swain has almost 58% winrate today according to op.gg xD
