Yeah, I guess it is. Even when you burn through 1k mana you get 250 hp at best, that's pretty weak. Still though, a really good item especially on Skarner.

It's not like you decided not to contest dragon, and then was like oh shit I guess they got the damage dragon. You can tell what dragon is spawning, right? So it's really, you decided not to contest the damage dragon, and they decided not to contest the movement speed dragon. If you wanted a damage dragon, you should have fought for it. If you have a lategame team and the first 2 dragons just so happen to be fire, you're pretty fucked. If your argument is "dont pick a late game team" well my counterargument is "why play league" That is the complaint with RNG. You could either not give a shit about the dragons or get screwed heavily by it, and its all up to luck for both teams. You might say that making all the dragons equally good is the fix, but that doesn't solve any problems. If they are too strong then teams that dont want to teamfight/late game still get shafted and if they are too weak, teamfighting/early teams get shafted early. The obvious solution to me is to go back to one uniform dragon that never alters but hey the game hasnt been in its prime for a while now and ill just be called a "riot hater"

Less cd on a flat cd reducing spell and 24% AD seems better than a 12 second "maybe i might hit this" kind of spell

max E vs ranged/kite teams, max Q vs melee teams. always max W 2nd regardless of waht you maxed first i just wrote a mini guide on him actually here ill copy paste I play some skarner ill give my 2 cents on him for some tips that haven't been mentioned. Don't upgrade your jungle enchantment past chilling. All of his jungle items are pretty garbage. Its better to sit on chilling and then complete warrior or cinderhulk late game. Find your playstyle. Are you a heavy ganker/play maker type jungler or do you play a farm style hyper carry? both are viable. The former should be going for a tanky cinderhulk build, the latter I suggest trying out my chilling --> merc treads/swift ---> triforce rush build. With one of the highest base ads in the game triforce is a great choice on skarner again after IBG nerf. 100% just doesn't cut it for such an expensive item that doesn't give HP. I was buying it before but switched to triforce now and having great success. He is truly one of the champs where you need to adapt your skill order to the game. against a more melee/tanky team I will max Q first because the damage really adds up and procs more sheens/very fast clear speed. Max E against more ranged/kiting teams or ganks will be hard. Clear speed suffers a little but nothing crazy. Sometimes I will max W against a very assassin-y team to survive their upfront burst early game so i can get off a good ult. You can really max anything first if you play it correctly. Control scuttles! he kills them easily and they are in your zones, you can 1v1 almost all junglers.

and I still think skarners base stats are bad for what he is asked to do (run into a team with nothing but a shield) This was before his reworks too so it was even shittier. I have like a 5.5 skarner KDA so im pretty good at him

What even is that ult? :< Looks like a coherent kit to me if the waveclear is good. Earlygame you push and roam and try to get the wall behind the enemy sidelanes so they have to blow flash. Mid-late you splitpush and can rotate to whatever objective your team is posturing around while creating a terrain advantage.

Swain - Q is fucking awesome for last hitting now. Works so much better than the old one as well for actually being usable on non-snared targets or catching up to a target. W cast point was changed, so it comes out just a hair slower. RoA is pretty hilarious as expected. Health for mana and mana for health. The ult change makes it so much more usable for wave clearing and also the 5 man ultimates are juicy AF. Overall I like the kit changes a ton. Some people may disagree, but I think it's a very usable update. Definitely gonna try some swain mid/top. CD's are much longer than they used to be, so I think you do need to get some CDR. Not a ton, but definitely some so that you can get off more than one rotation in a fight. Brand - Dear god the aoe damage. On a single target it's not bad, but if you have 2 or more clumped together...the carnage...

She sorta seems like a different spin on TF, same niche but less pick oriented and more of a teamfighter. Whatever happens with her, I hope you can play her toplane or support so it's possible to build a glorious Mapmaker comp: Surfer/J4/Anivia/Vayne/Trundle.

Also appears to have a dueling element that could be oppressive against melee units so could work top. Overall I think its a pretty interesting kit and not nearly as annoying as the other newish champions with "unique" mechanics like Kindred, Azir, Illiaoi and some of the reworks.

1- I hadn't see the AoE mastery on Brand yet so of course it looks retarded compared to before it existed 2- he was using that voodoo doctor skin, you can't even see when he casts E, the animation isn't obvious and the particle literally may as well not exist. So people got combo'd a lot because they didn't even realise it was cast on them (you hear the sound but you don't know who he casted it on). Without that he'd have gotten a lot less explosions I think.

It can be easily seen by doing the buffless clear to get faster level 6. It now takes 1 more camp to do on this patch compared to last one.
