He left both for the same reason though, I thought.

What BB said. 2. Going to iG was clearly a money grab as that was barely a team. It was Rookie in 2014 Faker mode, just in an easier league.

I know they shifted priorities to RNG and if they get relegated from LSPL nothing's stopping them from just buying out another lspl team spot but Star Horn/Huang Zu got the lineage all the way back from 2012 when g-league was a thing... embarrassing. but that's basically lspl's thing. everyone gets exposed and then you die.

Impact to C9 would be massive. Yeah, they'd have to swap out Rush for Meteos for eligibility but I feel that drop off is less than the improvement from Balls to Impact.

C9 looks to beat Liquid to the punch with an actual 10 man roster. Well 9 but same difference, that would be fucking awesome

Yes, it's probably somewhat expensive to keep alternates on for that, but that's what competition is about, no?

The fact that you have to pick who you play before champ select begins is a pretty big problem.

If you have a top laner who plays tanks and a top laner who plays carries then your substitution reveals your entire strategy, as well as the fact you have to spend time coordinating different sets of players. Ultimately one of them plays meta champions better and is just overall better and there's no reason to start someone else.

And when the meta allows for multiple styles to be played that isn't as much of an issue. Yet we see situations like SKT where Bengi can't play carry junglers so they need somebody on the roster like Blank to tide them over while the meta doesn't suit Bengi.
