Even Rox tigers play a fairly boring laneswap when they do get into one, they just make the rest of the game interesting.
I'd like to see them make botlane objectives like dragon really easy to take in a 3v2 for major rewards (for example, flat teamwide EXP, which obviously makes it so much stronger to get dragons early) and make towers smarter. If there was no laneswapping then other champs would stop being played because of how bad they are at laning.
Easier problem (imo) for Riot to solve within their very constrained balance system. There is the AFK farming problem, but I think the solution to both boring laneswaps and boring non-laneswaps is the same: Dragon, particularly increasing its spawn rate and lowering its damage (I am actually in favor of it being more of a capture-the-point type of thing like a dominion tower without damage, smite steals are dumb).
I totally like the idea of laneswaps to hide a bad laning champion that is a lategame monster, but its quite clear that such a champion is outside of Riot's design philosophy, so everything needs to be a good laner to be viable. Thus, laneswaps actually just add a second requirement, and actually put more of an emphasis on things the game already rewards such as mobility and waveclear.

He got perma banned for boosting accounts?

He already was permabanned (functionally at least) for boosting tho? dunno what a "recent backlash" was there

wasn't he banned for 1000 years or something originally? sure that's a "temp" ban but i don't imagine that ended yet.
|
the ban that ended recently was his LCK ban but still banned from owning a KR account, so even if he's not banned in LCK he can't really play in it anyways lol
he was still banned for 1000 years or whatever so its just riot following up with his banned status after confirming that he was actually the one playing on the accounts
I think the controversy was more the timing of it? cause it's pretty late and it coincides with the kyahaha scripter drama

i don't think anything has changed with respect to apdo and riot korea. if they ever get around to finding him, they'll ban him. they just happened to check his accounts

That's how EU LCS will look like in Summer Split.
In the EU LCS, we’ll be keeping regular season matches to two days (Thursday-Friday), but moving to a two-stream broadcast. We’ll run matches concurrently on our second stream as well as the main stage, giving fans the chance to choose which matchup they want to view, watch both at the same time (double monitors or second screens FTW) or catch them on VODs - viewable spoiler-free at www.lolesports.com. There are still many details to iron out, so stay tuned for more details.

What a fucking joke.

UK gets its own qualifier spot, but Denmark doesn't? Why?

I am qute sure they just picked the countries with the most active esl regional scenes. Otherwise it would be even more retarded.
That is completely ignoring how stupid it is that eune has a qualifier and the whole national teams cancer.
