I haven't seen the recent LPL games, but last I saw RNG was hella good, looked more impressive than SKT anyways.

Kinda thinking the same. People rate China really low now after worlds. Idk maybe it is even true.

In general I would say the teams are closer together than using tiers implies. Also I wonder why QG is a tier lower than RNG although QG has the better w/l.

Clg kinda overhyped. Sure their macro play and jg/top are really good+solid supp but their main carries are bad. Skt at s tier considering they will be playing with Blank is suspect too.

Guess riot felt bad for ignoring clg in na lcs so now they overhype them.

SKT is coming into IEM with a string of losses, and I don't think CLG should be ranked that highly, at least internationally. CLG crafted a strategy to beat IMT, but that doesn't mean they can beat other good teams, which I think is a flaw of having such a dominant team in NA. I don't follow the chinese scene so I can't judge those, but from recent results the D tier teams definitely belong at the bottom.

The reason CLG could (but probly won't) win is because they play a style that hides individual player skill as much as possible.

I mean, they look really bad at the moment, in Korea, but Ever failed to qualify for Champions so, that rarely means anything when comparing to other regions. I think you could make an argument for starting with A tier (common misuse of tier charts to always go S->D when sometimes there is no S or no D) But I think being on their own tier is just reasonable due to history of Korea at international events.

skt is not s tier atm even in this iem. it's up to blank though. could see them winning or losing to a team like rng rather decisively.

bengi is gone but with him the protective wardbot. faker should really be more of a calculating player. i am not sure he will make the transition though. if he doesn't his career could be shorter than it should be.

Trying to judge teams strictly by their play within a local league is a recipe for disaster, as learned last worlds, and many tournaments before, but looks to be already forgotten. Remember how a team MonteCristo said wasn't even in the top 8 of LCK won http://lol.gamepedia.com/IEM_Season_VIII_-_World_Championship without dropping a single game? Just because a Korean team looks terrible in their region doesn't equate to them being terrible internationally. It also works the other way. Just because a LPL/LCS team looks impressive in their region doesn't equate to them being impressive internationally.

After how World's went, I'm expecting SKT and Ever to go undefeated except against each other, and for CLG, TSM, QG, and RNG to lose every game.

That way, when something different happens, I can be excited and not be disappointed! :D

i dont think any team in the world has the right to be called s tier right now

anyways in other bracket news, NA CS playoff brackets are as follows:

(2) Ember vs (3) Team Dragon Knights
(1) Apex vs (4) Team Liquid Academy

all matches (starting next week at 6pm pst) are Bo5 in the LCS studio this year. top 2 will play in the promotion tournament vs lcs teams in the relegation zone.
