And personally my worst flaming experiences in this game are from being on the losing side in normals with 4 man premades. Who in their right mind would want to port that to ranked, where people are even more prone to raging and scapegoating

What are players exactly losing to in these situations? This nefarious idea of "communication" of 3-5 stacks? Do you guys legitimately lose a game of solo queue, and then choose to blame the idea "oh the enemy team was too coordinated". Let's say you're a lone wolf, what happens if this dynamic queue continues happening? Your ELO drops? Guess why your ELO drops, because it's a reflection of the new reality that your skill level is not equivalent to the current pool of players. Guess what though? your rank/division dropping isn't a problem of the system, it's merely a reflection of your skill compared to the pool. If it drops, it's because you're no longer as good in the current system. Rather than getting better, you're bitching about the system being "unfair". User was warned for this post (saying all responses are bitching is a terrible way to "start a discussion")

The difference between 5 diamond guys in soloq and 5 diamond guys in a premade team is that they're literally playing a different game. They're not even comparable...

That's why I mentioned Riot needs data points to make elo adjustments for group play. ELO is just number that reflects 50% winrate; it's not like you're losing more games when your elo stabilizes.

Which was a huge complaint from MANY people is, people not getting their preferred roll and then people trolling being mad when they didn't get it. This is a pretty good fix for this for the mass majority. I mean if some one purposely wants to piss people off they wstill will be able to, but you really can't patch out assholeness. And at least it is more track able banable with this system. It's not perfect, but it is also new and they will improve about it. How about a little talk about the good. If I had the time I would go back and find all the complaining about what they fixed, but I think a lot of the people just love to complain more than substance. Except people are complaining about dynamic que not about the new champ select. Unlucky

Yeah, the implementation isn't perfect, but that's 100% expected due to requiring massive amount of data points to adjust algorithms. More importantly, I think the entire UI of the champ select to be worse than before.

Things can be good for the longevity of a game without being good for it's player base, and vice versa. If it was actually a critical review they would look at what they thought was better and work instead of QQ riot so dumb bad and evil. I'll be back to complain more when the game I'm queing up for is done. And as I said give it some time for them to work out the kinks, and wei specifically said this patch addressed no issues so I was pointing out the issues it addressed. Edit* another nice feature is you can see what champs people are thinking of so if you want ot avoid all AD or whatever it's much easier. Or set up certain comps. Yea instead of saying what we dislike we should just make the oh so more useful comments like "x is actually pretty good" followed by "yea I agree". W0W much better and more productive. Better focus on what is good while hoping a magical man from the sky fixes the problems . If there is one thing I have learned in my 5 or so years of playing this game is unless people whine hard enough about shit it isn't gonna change.

I wonder if this doesn't get reverted soon, whether someone will implement private in-house leagues using IRC/twitch or whatever. You could probably make a good bit of money as a company with 3-4 twitch channels broadcasting in-house league games as well as irc bots helping to organize them, with a website ranking the players. I imagine the pros would not mind jumping ship off dynamic queue into an IHL where people play seriously at a high level. The community would love to watch them, and probably sub up a bunch. you could use profits to give out prizes to players of the league as well as run the damn thing. It'd have to be likely a non-LCS organization, so riot couldn't bully them into stopping like they did Hai. ICCUP where you guys at? The interesting things is how meaningless solo play is now throughout the whole ladder. Yes your average ranking will likely go down for solo players to make way for dynamic players. That sucks, but its only a sign of the issue. But if I want to know how good i am relative to other solo players, i can't. there is no little icon like the on fire or veteran icons to tell me if a player in my division/league is a solo player or a dynamic one. I'm being told my rating, but being robbed of all ability to understand that rating. Because i'm certainly not a worse player than i was 3 days ago, but when my rank balances out to be lower because I don't play with a group, i have no idea whether the guy ranked above me is better than i am, or just in a group with people who are better than me, or are the same as me but just in a group.

It gets old. It's been old. For a long time. There's a reason people are here, they like the game, they've liked the game for years and years and I get it, change is scary, but if it weren't for change you all would have stopped playing a long time ago, I promise. Have a little faith, at least give the system a week before you shit all over it. I'm not arguing that Rito is perfect, I have alot of issues with the game myself, specifically alot of the recently released champions and the dumb shit they did to both promote and shut down split pushing. But I have alot, ALOT more faith in their design team than the people on this forum. I'm done arguing about the new champ select for now, only read the spoiler if you wanna read rito fanboi propaganda. Please notice me rito sempai.
