Costs of an LCS team today?

Hi guys, I know this has been posted once before, but that was 2 years ago.

I was wondering if you could help me figure out the costs of fielding and housing an LCS team by today's standards.

The old thread stated the costs for the house, the food, and the utilities/needed equipment but I was wondering about the miscellaneous prices: I.E. player costs, stipends, living fees.

I have no estimates on costs specifically but I imagine it depends on if you're buying a spot in the LCS or building a team and starting from challenger. I imagine the buying a spot method is much much more expensive while the starting a team from challenger falls more toward luck

I think he's talking more operational costs once your in the LCS instead of acquisition costs/development costs.

okay looks like he wants both. I don't have the numbers

I remember someone said (maybe it was Locodoco) that you need 500k-1000k per year USD. This doesn't even include the cost of acquiring a spot in the first place.

500k-1mil a year usd in terms of cost?

Is that including the price of the gaming house/feed/utilities?

Also, how much WOULD it be to "buy" a spot in the LCS?

I've gotten the price of starting from challenger but would love to get the run down of the price for buying a team's spot in the LCS

I don't know if this helps but according to the article in Forbes(I think) on team Liquid the players make ~60k/year and the job posting for head coach is listed at ~50k or 30k with benefits

uh if you want the price of a direct seed in, you could try to contact Odee, he is actively trying to sell a spot at this moment

Also gotta add in that house rent. I'm not familiar with California prices, except that they're high. Seems like the team also pays for food, utility, furnishing and cleaning as well-- lots of other incidental costs too I'm sure.
