So Doa will be going to WC after all? good news

Analyst desk gives me cancer.

Their foresight and care is really admirable.

At least YamatoCannon is pleasant enought to listen to.

I like Spawn too. He grows on you. Papasmithy should be there over atlus imo.

I'm expecting a Jatt/Quickshot/Krepo final from Riot.

Spawn should be good. Dash and Zirene are pretty blech though.

Oh god please no

Its nice giving lots of people a chance to be part of worlds but at some point there's too many cooks in the kitchen
|
More like Jatt/Riv/Krepo.
|
Krepo used to be cute, but with that weight lost he is really HOT now.
Yay more Krepo air time!! :D
Im not liking the analyst desk tbh, tho YamatoCannon is pretty cool and i do like Crumbz, basicly i like the invites not the Rito hired people xD.

Godlike potential finals quadracast (because why have a tricast when you can have a quadracast):
Deficio/Phreak/Kobe/Doa
Honorable mentions: Riv, great energy, yes he doesn't make sense at times, but that doesn't matter since his flow is excellent, his hype is even better. He's best compared to a great action flick that doesn't need any kind of plot/entices you to reflect on certain situations Montecristo, he's a great caster. But in the past I've noticed a slight anergy between him and Kobe and since I prefer Kobe (he's my favourite caster by far) I cannot put him into my dream quadra cast.
|
If I get at least one game of Doa/Deficio/Kobe I'll be a happy man.
|
Doa/Phreak/Kobe would be nutty
|
I wish riot didn't take a participation award approach to their finals and just narrowed it down to the best performing casters of the year.
That said my criteria and theirs for such a style would inevitably be different so, everyone gets equal time probably works out the best for me personally.

To Dash's credit, he stopped drinking so heavily in the summer split. Actually, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. I dislike the Australian caster's accents. I don't know what they're saying and maybe a part of it is they're bad at casting. Really not a fan of Atlus in particular. Too bad Froskurin isn't going, she clearly knows the most about LPL. Maybe Riot just doesn't like neck tattoos. They probably think it's unprofessional.

Uhmm what?

She has a crazy sense of style, so she has to understand that in doing so might retract from her own career. I too enjoy her deep knowledge of the scene, but seeing her with a giant tattoo wasn't exactly fun to look at during casting.
Doa and Monte at Worlds... so... happy. Hope to see Monte at the Analyst desk again, or at least some hint of the KR hype train, especially in a year when they're not guaranteed to win.
Oh and personal preference, but I hate NA caster voices and their methods of hype building. I don't mind Rivington's voice, but he does say stupid stuff. So I pray they mix them well with the EU/LPL/LCS casters.

All I want are doa and montecristo.
And froskurin. ):

it's 2015 man, I don't know how you found out about the internet, but tattoos aren't weird.
|
It does seem silly to not have Froskurin. She really knows her stuff so having her on at least the Analyst Desk would have been smart.
|
Kobe has a tattoo on his arm. We've seen that soooo many times.
A neck tattoo is no different in my opinion.
I mean she could just wear a scarf or something if it bothered Riot that much. She could also just wear a hat or dye her hair to a normal color. I mean its worlds why wouldn't you want to be there to cast. Can just dye it back when worlds is over.
Also, why wouldn't Doa be going to worlds in the first place? Did he do something to make Riot mad or something?
|
|
So just because of that tweet it got people riled up enough to make Riot change their minds?

@JonGalt During the spring split Dash would heavily, heavily, slur his words some weekends. Sometimes you'd notice as the broadcast went on he would slur worse and worse. It was speculated that he was getting drunk.
I know this is the internet and everyone is apparently a far leftist, but depending on the poll you read only about 20 percent of Americans have tattoos. Also a clear majority still dislike seeing people with tattoos. I'm not sure where you come from where neck tattoos aren't weird, but they are. I live in a lower middleclass apartment complex, which is considered a good area of town because this city is so awful. It's still extremely rare for me to see people with neck tattoos. Then if I go to the nicer towns it's literally nonexistent. Neck tattoos connote being of a lower class or gang affiliation. Of the people I've personally met or known with neck tattoos many of them have some sort of connection to criminal activity.

It's as if they drew the groups best possible to get CLG and Fanatic through.

They end up with everyone else in pretty much every region wearing shirts and jackets and sometimes even waistcoats etc, and Sjokz is typically wearing something "sensible", but every time she's on a broadcast she looks like a random weirdo dragged in off the street.

Exactly, this is like the OPPOSITE of prejudice. If you want a job you better dress like everyone else, and if you don't, you obviously don't want a job which makes you a COMMUNIST.
Replies may be addressed to the flat of my hand.

Well it's nothing compared to Bruno at TIs (Dota2) and yet he wasn't dismissed ASAP. Truth be told it would be nice to have a bit more even gender ratio.

Was him being drunk a speculation of yours or a popular opinion? I can't find anything other than you post on liquidlegends that talks about this.

Regarding Froskurin (who's name I've only just learnt) - She seems to know her stuff but I know multiple people who have complained either about her out of place looks, her voice (lots of Euro's hate her accent) or just her in general.
Sure that's who she is and that's fine, but Riot probably are aware of this. Give her another year and she might make the desk, but if you compare her to everyone she sticks out like a sore thumb (and in no way, for once, is this because of her gender - which in a rather ironic way is a sign of progress). I think Riv, Quickshot and Sjokz have pierced ears and that's literally the only body alteration on the team. Simply put, she's not famous enough to overcome that. There's a reason they all wear similar clothes on air. Bruno got past this for Dota because he's an incredibly popular character in the Dota scene.
At the end of it, Riot casters are something they're selling to us and this is their biggest event of the year, their chance to bring in a bunch of new viewers.
|
Monte wears different clothes and has a not-visible tattoo. Kobe has a visible tattoo. Quickshot has much more piercing than just the ears. Froskurinns broadcast clothes are much more office-like than sjokzs.
|
i really hope we can get quickshot + rivington + montecristo pretty sure montecristo dies before the game ends
|
I guess I'm a minority (or a far leftist, whatever that means), but I just want good commentary.
|
Am I in the very minority where I enjoy NA casters, even more than EU casters?
I really enjoy Kobe's casting (especially his energy when things get hectic), I think Jatt is alright, Riv can get real random with Phreak, but I'll at least take Kobe/Jatt over Quickshot/Krepo.
I'll admit, I don't watch much Korean/Chinese leagues, so I can't really compare those guys to NA/EU, besides Monte (who I also really enjoy).

Riot passed over Froskurin long before she got a funky haircut and neck tatts.

As far as commentary goes I think NA and LCK had the best. EU was close but significantly behind. LPL sounded like semi-amateurish compared and I actually couldn't stand them.
But I think EU had the most rounded analysis desk.
