Graves nerfs seem kinda weird, he's already non ideal except to punish ads who are better than him at killing tanks in lane, seems like a fair trade off to me.

As xerath you should be very hard to gank, because you can stay so far back in lane. Ward one side of mid, then stay on that side as far back as you can while harassing and csing. Later on and depending on matchup you can do that and get your opponent low enough that its pretty dangerous for them to go in for a gank. Xerath has a ton of luxury in his positioning, as you can even support a gank with Q and ult from 1400 range away, so there is no reason to be up in lane unless you know their jungler location and are pushing the tower down.

If their jungler does come at you from the unwarded brush, it sets you up for an easy E stun if you see them coming from that distance away. Mostly though just stay far back.
In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

Not sure if I understand that advice. Should I always aim for pushed/frozen/even lane or are you basically telling me that I should correctly assess situation and figure out what's most beneficial for me and how to achieve it :p ?

Guess I'll just try to watch some midlane streamers and see if I learn anything, since apparently I might have entirely wrong idea of how to lane with him. For example someone advised me to just stay back and use spells and almost never get in AA range from what I understand, but then other person tells me to start codex since I shouldn't have mana issues? Guess I might need entire guide and not just couple of advice :f

actually we are basically saying the same thing, the idea behind codex is to do more damage to minions, thus resetting the wave faster spending less time away from your tower, and AT worst autoing minions that are at the exact middle of the lane to proc your passive, exposing yourself to minimal jungle pressure.

you said the jungler was a big part of the problem hence that advice. if you are having problems getting killed 1v1 by like Fizz or LeBlanc then your old build is actually better.

like in your original statement you said that you normally bounce back and I asked if this is normally around the time you reach a strength where you can reset the wave quickly and easily, if the answer is yes, then you will definitely feel an improvement by going codex before chalice.

because hes better than lucian, so better nerf graves. With tank meta graves is already dead for like 1-2 patches, nerfing jinx is kinda ok but I am looking forward to cheaper adc items than balancing these heroes.

No, I'm stating Zyra is just straight up inferior to most supports after laning phase. Honestly, I'd almost rather have Heimer because at least his ult-Q/E is good.

I think Zyra's fine after the laning phase. If she has Liandry's she can poke the enemy with plants and her damage isn't insignificant. Saying a support is bad or falls off because she doesn't have hard engage is kinda silly. Neither does Janna and she's a good support. Just peel for the adc when someone tries to dive the back line and they melt instantly. Some say death is the best CC.

I don't think anyone disagrees with her being a tier below meta, but what needs changing probably isn't her ult.

While Jinx is really strong compared to other marksmen, I don't think marksmen as a whole are nerf worthy. I'd rather they buff some of the other ADC. Always feels like they nerf ADC champions, and items, but never buff them. I don't know, maybe I'm just an idiot.

honestly with the decreased range required for max damage I'm not sure the Jinx change is some huge nerf, current base damage is 125 and it's being lowered to 25 that sounds like a lot, but with the new ramp up speed it sounds like they would need to be inside of Rocket range to be a nerf and @rocket range it's a debatable dps increase to ult even at 125

Personally, I think they're nerfing Jinx ult because they're sick of seeing point blank rockets being fired and still doing a lot of damage, and want it to be used instead as something like Ezreal ult (which it should never be used for) or Caitlyn ult (to set up a fight by throwing down a AoE damage spike right when your top/mid/jungler goes in).

If they want it to be like Ezreal ult they need to reduce the cooldown to compensate (maybe something like 80/65/50). If they want it to be like Caitlyn ult, then the AoE splash needs to be bigger.

Also, I don't get these nerfs to ADCs right now. Aren't we having issues with dealing damage to tanks as is? Why are you nerfing the archetype that's meant to (eventually) cut through tanks?

Jinx is just OP right now. I think it's fine that they're reducing some of her burst. Let me remind you that Corki was buffed quite a bit last season and Graves was buffed to get him to where he is today. Graves used to be shitty in season 3 and 4.

I ranted since Jinx hit PBE about the numbers on her ult because teamfight AoE burst was part of Graves' thing and he paid for it with range, low dps, meh base stats (he's not much tankier than Ashe if you discount his passive, and his passive doesn't kick in vs frontloaded burst)... while Jinx also has excellent reach and extreme sustained damage/AoE dps.

It only took over a year for Riot to realise this. Yay!

Myeah Jinx was definitely too strong, and the graves change isn't a huge nerf, it's slightly stronger against divers and slightly weaker in lane.

It's like 10 more damage after your 3rd item if you hit all 3 bullets (I'm not sure about their hitboxes but it's really not that wide, to match the visuals, so hitting all 3 is hard and it's a net nerf unless you do that).
I guess it's also a level 1 buff.
