The new BC coming out makes me think that Hydra -> RG -> BC -> tank Darius would be a huge threat to any team.

I'll say this I'm not a fan of him and banning his accounts is a valid course of action and I can agree completely, but auto-banning all of his content is a little ridiculous. Reddit cares deeply about their "model" and it remaining as organic as possible as seen by their recent campaign against vote manipulation. But what I fail to see is how this helps in any sense, he can still just keep posting to twitter and linking comments to his followers, the only difference now is that it just won't be on his posts and any discussion that his content may start is now gone. We just have to hope that now he doesn't break another story like the Kori/MYM situation and it get routinely ignored because no one saw it.

At the end of the day, I can actually see RL leaving the DailyDot. Not because DailyDot firing him directly, but that DailyDot will put pressure on RL to make amendments and RL disagreeing with such actions.

I don't really see that happening, they're not that reliant on Reddit for traffic compared to other sites. It's also a pretty bad standard to set, Reddit shouldn't get to control what people can write. I wonder if there will be enough community pressure for /r/lol to reverse the decision.

DailyDot is only affected by this ban in the RLewis can't have his articles linked there. Anybody else writing for them is fair game to post. As a journalism site, they are probably standing behind RLewis.

It is possible that DailyDot gives RL a stipend so he will keep posting for DailyDot, with the understanding that RL's content will bring traffic to their site. If RL's traffic drops, it's easy to see RL losing part of that stipend. And this doesn't even factor in the loss in income from RL directly - since his own income is surely linked to his own traffic in one way or another.

It feels like the mods as well as the established content creators have been taking a huge dump on the populus over the last 6 months. But i mean people still watch/donate phantom so im not sure what the threshold is lol That's an interesting point. I feel that /r/lol is currently too broad. For some topics, for example Pokemon, there are half a dozen specialized subreddits which you go to separately for the things you want to do. /r/lol, however, holds a monopoly over EVERYTHING since almost EVERYTHING is allowed, including: - esports news - lol big play clips - lol fan art / cosplay - lol theorycrafting / gameplay discussion / strategy - etc. I feel that these contents should go to their own subreddits. Currently, these specialized subreddits exist, but they barely draw any traffic because /r/lol kind of has everything. There is also the consideration of making a competing subreddit. This is an interesting one and I have the idea of a private subreddit only for people who have been gilded on /r/lol (kind of like /r/lounge, except membership is permanent once you get gilded once). I think it will ultimately come down to economics.

I'M SO OUT OF THE LOOP He essentially got banned because of his hypercritical stance of the lol subreddit mod team and he links negative comments people make about him on twitter which brings in all of his followers to downvote it regardless of whether or not that was his intention.
