Coming off the heels of their IWCI announcement, LJL announced today the details of their Challenger Tournament - the path to earning participation in the main league. Teams may register to participate so long as they meet the conditions listed below (highlights: team must have no more than two non-Japanese citizens, be able to attend live events, must have at least one substitute and two managers).
The tournament format is a Bo3 single elimination bracket with randomly drawn pairings. The top two teams will face off with the bottom two teams from LJL Season 1 in the LJL Season 2 Survival Match.

Adherence to all LJL official rules
The ability to participate in the LJL 2015 Season 2 Survival Match as a team on 4/4/2015 as a team.
The ability to participate in the weekly Saturday LJL Season 2 matches from May until September.
The ability to attend the opening and closing matches for LJL 2015 Season 2 live at e-sports SQUARE or another venue specified by the league.
As well as the ability to attend any other offline matches that may be held.
(LJL will pay transportation and lodging fees for domestic travel. Please check the official LJL rules for details)
The ability to provide your real name, age, to show your face, and to be available for photographs and filming.
That all members are over the age of 17 by the last day of February: the day the Challenger Tournament for Season 2 commences.
The presence of two managers (players may serve as managers). One of them must be able to communicate unhindered in Japanese.
That the managers be able to converse with LJL over email, Skype, or telephone.
That one of our staff be allowed to be stationed in the team's TeamSpeak3 server.
(The match's voice chat will be recorded for use in a later broadcast)
That all information provided at registration be the truth.
That all players will play fair and with proper manners.
That each team have no more than two foreign players without Japanese citizenship.
If you have Japanese citizenship, you may play from abroad.
That you are able to play Draft Mode on the NA server.

Note that any team who registers but fails to show up for their matches without prior notice will be disqualified from next season's Challenger tournament as well.
