he means he was amumu and couldn't smite while vi was knocking him up, whereas amumu ult is a root so she could smite np
although i actually don't think knockups do prevent smite, i know for a fact that suppress does though

My mind skipped over "vi as" and referring to Vi later as "he" even further increased confusion.

Pretty sure only suppress prevents smite.

yeah, there is no point in stunning their jungler to prevent smite, better to just turn and kill him
it's why i always chirp my duo partner when he missmites and blames it on "wtf she silenced me so i couldn't smite"

can confirm the best option is just to turn and kill the jungler

Speaking of nidalee jungle, anyone get the weird bug where monsters stop moving after getting 'Hunted'?

I actually like it most of the time. Most of the time if they hit a sneaky spear or drop a heal on me its just as good as any other failed gank, plus all the trap vision is nice. The way I like to play 10-15% hp most than expected will often swing a matchup to me, particularly on Ori where earlygame you usually just need that little leg up to keep your zone intact against a Leblanc/Zed or to make someone like Xerath or Syndra stop pushing you in so mercilessly.

She's one of the strongest solo queue junglers in the game right now, which is why she's constantly banned in high elo.

QUIT RUNNING I'M TRYING TO HUNT 'Hunted' monsters are also rooted for 2 seconds after being debuffed so that Nidalee can actually get in range to Pounce on them.

Question, as this is something I'm unsure how to do/handle.
Mid lane matchup of Ahri vs. Xerath, who wins? Because I've played both sides (games on Ahri and games on Xerath) with little to no jungle interaction and lost as both (Ahri all-in at 6 to either kill me or blow my summoners on Xerath, Xerath stun combos me out of lane as Ahri pre-6). Trying to figure out if this is just me not knowing the matchup or not knowing what to do in the pre-6 and post-6 part of lane phase.
I ask mainly cause I'm trying to make mid my second main role (jungle is my first) and other than being confident in my Ahri skills I don't know what else to work on. Personally I want to get good on Lissandra, Xerath, and Ziggs, but not sure what else to work on.

Xerath beats ahri pre 6 and ahri beats xerath after pretty much how it goes but since there are A LOT of skillshots anything can happen.
Nidalee jungle is very strong if someone competent plays her but most aren't.
Ahri/liss/xerath is a good mid roster but ahri/liss get banned often so you probably need 1 more.Ziggs isn't very good imo but serviceable.Katarina/orianna/cass/zed/jayce are some good champs for now.

She's extremely feast or famine. I have seen so many games decided recently by nidalee invades. Either they kill the enemy jungle 1 or twice and carries hard or end up failing and have 13 farm at 10 mins with 0 kills and are about as tanky as wet paper and meanwhile the enemy jarvan is dropping ults left and right for kills.

Are you sure about that? I didn't do that (m)any Nidalee tests, but it was my understanding that she is fairly fast in the jungle.

The bug where jungle creeps stop moving, unless I haven't seen it, is due to minion blocking, except with little minions blocking larger ones.
And yes, Nidalee feels very reliant on hitting a long range spear to get the bonus range on her W to pounce. But she seems to be doing better in the jungle than in top lane or mid. And people are still getting used to her in the jungle whereas there have been countless seasons to play and master Lee.
