Curse/TL is going to be insanely good this split. they made their roster changes somewhat early in the off-season, have been practicing hard, and already had a very good core. even with voy and cop they would have been top 3/4. i think they can potentially push for 1st this split, i am not even kidding you.

ofc C9 will also be just as good as ever (probably) so 1st might be out of Curse/TL's reach, but it will definitely be a fun competition.

Guitar with the leak?

Summer playoffs will be interesting if things shake out right.

I can see Curse top 2 in NA LCS come spring

How much of a leap is that for them? They pick up a potential world best adc and only go up two spots in NA LCS? I still think TSM will place higher than Curse.

For team which hadn't seen place higher than fourth since 2012? That's huge leap if you ask me.

They were right behind TSM and LMQ. Former has replaced their jungler with some dude and second doesn't exist. They likely could contest top2 with cop. I'd argue that Quas top, IWD jungle and Xpecial supp were more important upgrades.

One reverse sweep away from making Worlds

As strange as this might sound, I actually think Doublelift should retire as a player.

It's a testament to how good he is that he's almost the only player who's been playing as long as he has that can still keep up, but honest, him getting into a different role in the scene with his experience would both help the scene more as a whole, and help himself more than another season of going nowhere on CLG.

I think Doublelift yarns for the day which rest of his team does not bring him down - which is why year after year he endured the bad roster decisions from CLG.

It doesn't sound strange at all for somebody who's at best the 4th best in their role in the weakest region in the world. Kind of like how HSGG retired when he was around the same position.

The way he plays and thinks is absolutely toxic to a functional team and far more detrimental than a player who is worse than he is individually but is actually capable of being part of a group would be.

I don't think he is actually toxic. He just appears this way to his fans as part of his brand. I recall he once had an interview with OGN and he was incredibly humble.

What I want to know is if CLG is Doublelift centric because management is trying to mold the roster around their best player or if he's actually just being a selfish player. At this point, I don't believe Doublelift is delusional enough to keep CLG hostage in a CJ Blaze/Flame situation after such a long career of 0 LAN wins.

he doesn't mean toxic in attitude, he means his approach to the game is detrimental to a team.

No one knows his approach for sure unless it's someone who worked closely with CLG.

step 1 - acquire talented korean toplaner
step 2 - do not allow him to play champions that can make plays because only DL is allowed to make plays

I think CLG is DL centric because they haven't had a fucking carry in any position until now, with Zion.

Most pros have a consensus that Curse is going to come out strong this split, likely second but potentially first if they can get over their C9 hump.

Wrong. Seraph is a carry top laner, he just wasn't allowed to do so.

Even when he was set up to carry, he sorta.. yeah... uh... fell flat? is the best way to put it?
I still think having a midlane that can't provide pressure relief is a much bigger issue. I'm still salty they still have link on the team.

Seraph did fell short on the carry department. Whether it's his personal doing or language barrier it's hard to say.
