How much of a leap is that for them? They pick up a potential world best adc and only go up two spots in NA LCS? I still think TSM will place higher than Curse.
Just because you have a world class player doesn't mean your team knows what to do with it.
Quoting myself on this one.

Going to enjoy quoting some of these posts in the future. Thanks for the laughs. Having said all of this, I expect his team to place fourth just to spite me. Talk ill of Piglet? lol, no one really has. Everyone is just trying to calm down the absurd hype behind him.

How does the Riven - Rumble matchup go?
I've queued into it 5 times in a row when playing rumble and I've won 4/5. It seems like rumble wins levels 1-7ish but even though you win the first all-in with ulti, riven's ulti comes up significantly faster and you have to play like a pussy for a long time until it's back again =/

Fortunately, he doesn't need to play to his 2013 level to be the best ADC in NA. Even now, there is no AD in NA who plays close to the level Piglet did in 2013.
EDIT: Also, comparing Score and Piglet is pretty amusing because 2013 KT played way more around Score than SKT played around Piglet (allowed him to do shit like burn Flash aggressively in fights to get kills and look good doing it, even though on any other team it would have been super questionable). SKT was the better team, but KT did WAY more to make Score look good than SKT did for Piglet.

if you look at Faker as the constant, which I think most people do/should. I'm going to get cursed, flamed and jinxed, but best Faker is when Bengi is at best. not really true. faker was still hard carrying that team with all the opposing pressure focused on him. it's just that they can't be aggressive ganking team without bengi playing well mechanically

Seriously. People who don't think Faker was crazy amazing in 2014 are fooling themselves. I would give him #1 player of 2014 if he didn't seem pretty off his game during the SSW games to get to worlds. He was the #1 player during Winter by a significant margin, and hard carried SKT to wins during every other season. He did these insanely memorable things on Orianna, along with being the lynchpin of the only team to take a game off Najin Shield during the qualifier.
He had 1 "bad" series and I am pretty sure it was because he was overaggressive due to desperation, because his team was getting shat on the other 4 positions every game.

Can you imagine Piglet being okay with being ~top 3-4 adc in NA LCS? It's like imp/Mata being perfectly okay as top-3 duolane in Korea. I'm more inclined to say that if it happens, Piglet just gets burned out because of inability to improve and useless playing more and more. You make it sound as if Piglet at some point in his career was the best ADC in korea, that was never true. He's always been "good", but never the best. I think he'd be more than fine playing consistently at a high level. Piglet was best adc in the world by far at Worlds and i'd argue that he was best in Korea since T1 beat White in that semifinal in Summer 2013. There is a reason, why Piglet was crying after 15-0 Champions Season, he's just that competitive. Only problem i have with imp in arguments for him being best adc ever played the game that he never was primary carry of Samsung White/Ozone. Funnily enough, it wasn't a problem in MVP White/Ozone. piglet excelled in team fight and skirmishing positioning. he was able to do a lot of damage given the space the team created for him. this, as we found out later, depended on him not tilting and working with his support. he's not that good in lane and was pretty out of his comfort zone once the meta shifted as well. if you've ever watched his solo queues he just goes on massive tilting sprees and throw games. i think the potential is there but there's also some work needed to get him to work within a team. his skirmishing and teamfighting was good but his main talent was splitpushing (which kinda goes in line with skirmishing). he was exceptionally good at applying pressure as a splitting adc and safely regrouping with his team. and when the situation came to it, he was very good at 1v1ing the opponent split pusher. he suffered a bit when adc's didn't split push as much. well yea his dueling and whatnot ability made him suitable for the splitpush meta. i don't think splitpushing is a talent though, it's more of a team level strategy.

Having said all of this, I expect his team to place fourth just to spite me. well he does have very high top end performance. people use soloqueue to judge players probably will not place piglet too highly, but even in soloqueue he'll have these 20-3 games, and i think that is a better representation of his carrying capacity.
he just always goes for the aggressive play in lane and not very good at farming under pressure. if they can play an aggression lane and basically outduel the opposite number, they'll be fine.

On a related note, Curse changing it's branding makes my Curse Icon kinda pointless. Gunna have to buy the new one I suppose.
In all seriousness, I haven't seen much hype for Piglet being god tier but then again he doesn't have to. It's NA. I hate saying it but you only have to be better then NA duders which for him is clearly going to not be a problem.

For team which hadn't seen place higher than fourth since 2012? That's huge leap if you ask me.

That's why i say "best Faker". As ultimate T1 fanboy for soon-to-be a decade, i don't wanna see my best player dying for team sins, i want him to blossom in the garden.

Idk, i like Piglet but unless last 2 seasons of OGN/NLB were a temporary slump, i don't see him being UNDISPUTABLE top-1 NA. Unless, of course, everyone randomly starts playing worse than they were before or Caitlyn becomes top-1 pick again.

I'd argue that Quas top, IWD jungle and Xpecial supp were more important upgrades.

I am PRETTY SURE Riven wins the match up easily. Riven has a lot of perks that give Rumble headaches, such as how her Q will rotate Rumble (and consequently the Flamespitter). Then there is the issue of mobility (getting out of Equalizers) and shields vs DoT.
