She's picked more than twice as many times as before the rework and her win rate still holds a solid position among good iwnrate champs. Not sure if ros who abandoned her for the trinity of supports would start to pick her, especially with the silent rise of Alis and Jannas, but those who already kept playing her (don't follow the korean scene, but saw her many times in picks and bans) has no reason not to pick her still.

Looks weird, especially the Flare. i build elder lizard when i jungle malphite, his W passive is a sneaky way to apply the true damage burn in AOE.

Shielding skillshots in lane feel really rewarding; negate damage and heal at the same time, funny. I did not even brought magic pen marks and I still dealt decent amount of damage, enough to make my opponents respect it. To be honest, I finally had the same feeling as I was playing with the old sona. Squishy albeit strong lane presence, a trolololo w (which is fucking nuts in extended 2v2s), flash-ulting enemy carries, sustaining teammates. Good times, the only thing I found sad that my adc did not seem to realize what my q does. He never seemed to be looking for opportunities to use the buff. God, I just need to find a way to figure out how not to suck vs Karma and I could first pick her. She seems like a Nami, with less offensive, but more defensive capabilities in lane. Until they hit lvl 6, that is, then they go on their seperate way. I've been trying her out quite a bit recently and am still on the fence about her. Any insight into how to build/skill her? I've tried CDR/Tank (locket, frozen heart, etc) and that seems more reliable than AP but she does have quite a bit of scaling..

Basically freelo, they fall for every single bait in the book. Basically now you're playing against people with pretty good mechanics but not good game sense instead of people who have okay game sense and okay mechanics. Honestly should be pretty good practice all around.

In my first three rankeds I was pretty useless myself, had to ice her, because I didn't want to ruin my mmr with trying her out, but today in the lobby I kept thinking "man, I'd instapick old Sona here... mmmmmmmmmmmmm", so I went with her. Not gonna lie, as the game was loading I rushed probuilds because I had no idea what to build on her now, I was even considering going coing, since all the qq about her q being useless. Eventually the starting build I copied was the knife-mikael-frostqueen with sightstone of course. The banshee was only to counter Syndra's stun, so I could flash ult her. As I said, I brought no ap or mpen, but I still dealt good damage, even without my adc ever (like, ever) using the passive magic damage. If I had known, I would've brought ignite. I don't think W max is a good idea now. The skill itself is really good, but you will lose all your presence, and sustain-wise it's not as good as old w. Takin E at lvl 4 nowis actually good, though this game I took it at lvl 3 by panic. I wouldn't stack ap on her just for the E scaling, I think survivability worths more. The more shields you can give to your allies, the more useful you are imo, I fell in love with that W.

Koreans were described as "crazy agro" and "no game sense" when they started playing, in reality it was them testing out the limits in every single engagement. Then they knew the limits and started winning.

Haha, those are the guys at low elo who are like "you want me to support, bitch? you do? all right, I'll show oyu my fucking support, ENJOY!" Fun fact: I remember in s2 I used to pick Soraka, stand in the bush and explore the intrawebz, occaisonally tabbing back to heal and infuse. Funnier fact: I won.

My favorite part was this: Me- Sona, I need you to have more lane presence so I can get in range of the waves. Sona- Who do you think is healing you!?
