He got picked in competitive literally the week before he was disabled so it's not like Xerath being good is exclusive to the reworked version.
Old Xerath was the late game Magic damage carry. he could deal 3k damage to any hero provided they had less than 300 Mres. new xerath is old Lux.

Its pretty hillarious, they spent the game going 0/15 and screaming at the jungler / support / anything while i mopped up mid and top towers, farm and "doom"bots. Then you had the usual guy not calling mid fast enough and throwing a hissyfit about it.
Rage induced by feeding is multiplied by 10 vs bots.
The gamemode is pretty funny though, at least makes bots half interesting to play against. Does malza's DoT tick for like triple damage or something, i #rekt the bot and then lost 40% of my hp to it D:
Still makes me not want to play this game, playerbase is trash t.t

Doom lux can 1 shot sivir through spell shield and banshee veil.

The thread title needs to be renamed to "Rise of Lucian" or something. He is now an adc I can actually carry with, aka broken as hell.

While I'd love to get on the "Ha TL was wrong again, Lucian range nerfs not that big of a deal" hype train, it's only 1 day of stats. It's a lot of games so it's not likely to be mis-representative but we should wait. Meanwhile Kayle weeps in a corner D:

I wonder at the stats compared to divisions. The range nerf leads to getting punished in lane which happens less the lower ranked a player is.

and you know, no one is saying well the range nerf didn't hurt him. its more the massive buff to his dash that is making him threatening.

In plat it doesn't really seem like that big of a deal in lane, the lack of range is made up with the silly strong passive and no CDR dashes (I max E second) meaning you dodge all skillshots basically while doing immense damage without attack speed. However I haven't tried laning against a Cait, but wouldn't pick Lucian vs her anyway (I'm only adc when I'm last pick and nobody else wants it so can usually see their pick).
I go for ER->Brutalizer with Ionian whenever fitting, the BF first build route feels strong as ever much prefer it to a TF rush and love turning resourceless once ER is completed.
In so far I've been very happy with how he's turned out for me, granted it's only in bottom tiers of plat.

its kha6 all over again riot goes to nerf a character but does this whole trade off thing and winds up making him stronger overall. lee sin is gonna one shot adcs once he gets "nerfed"

in general league players often misuse terms including high profile people like casters. i hear "AP damage and AD damage" a lot. Rotation meaning gank, orbwalking instead of stutter stepping, though at least that one is forgivable as its been co-opted to mean something different in league.

If he's in a lane where he can win trades, he can simply win them harder now. He was already one of the least mana heavy carries in bot lane. It's almost what vayne would be if she had burst damage.

man you guys remember when lucian was "olafed/butchered/gutted/lucian'd" and was horrible and no one was ever gonna play him again?
