Alright, we're going to call it a day with all the Thorin drama, guys. I figured if it was about SI, onGamers, TSM, etc, it had some relevance to League but somehow you guys managed to devolve the discussion into an issue about race of all things.
Enough is enough. Let's move along now.

Overall I saw ~25% of high-variance duoQs go bot lane in these games. They were in my team and got indeed crushed (then again when you first pick Ezreal, see Thresh+Lucian and have your Silver buddy pick Leona... not any worse that "oh he has Trist ima pick Vayne" I guess). Even outside these 4 games, I don't remember many bot duos recently in my games. I mean, I saw several, obviously but they were something like maybe a third? Very far from the overwhelming majority you'd think from people talking about duoQs.
While going AD/support seems like the natural choice for a duoQ, it's really not the best way to win since your coordination advantage can at most win one lane (and AD is pretty weak now, so winning lane doesn't even mean much). If you go some combination of top/mid/jungle, it amplifies that advantage much more. For example, I mentioned awhile ago that a friend and I like to go play Jax top/WW jungle respectively. The gameplan is that he stays safe, I farm to 6, gank for him and we wreck their jungler, then we 3 man mid and steamroll from there.
I don't know if this is the reason why we don't see a lot of duoQ botlanes as you say, but it's my reasoning anyways.

It has even more to do with the fact that your coordination doesn't mean anything if the enemy bot lane actually mains bot too.

For the person asking about taunt refunding energy through corpses earlier: it does. It recently saved my bacon during a 2v2.

Basically, the less capitals and periods in a statement, the more likely the reader was to assume the person who wrote it was either a child or an idiot.
We also found that for people who actually know how to properly type with homerow etc, there is no time difference between typing with capitals/punctuation and without.
So, TLDR, why the fuck do you care about how people type what they type in game? As long as you can read it who cares.
Cuz they're tryhards.
I don't know, if it's a forum it is one thing. But in-game? Seems a bit much. I can understand why it would annoy people, even if it doesn't personally annoy me.

I find it incredibly bizarre that typing properly could possibly actually annoy someone.

I don't think it has anything to do with that, its usually a combination of the personality that comes with those people.
Lol, you type like an idiot you insufferable buffoon. Pip Pip Cheerio.

Fucking try hards. amg dis gai jus spell errything rite way ban pls OT: you know how there are barcrafts for SC2 and now fireside gatherings for Hearthstone? Do we have those for League? i am organising these for our local barcraft group since about a year and riot is really supportive about their "bar of legends" thing (we wanted to call it publeague but they told us that only brandmarked events would get support, lol) here´s the eventmap with any recent events that were entered and accepted by riot http://viewingparties.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/#/2014-05-14/2014-10-16 Lol. Thanks anyways. Can't find unless I want to fly there.

Never seen this happen before. Maybe I'll try typing properly in games for a while to see what happens.
Do turrets do any extra damage to melee or caster minions? Caster minions start off with 290 health and outer turrets do 164 damage at 2:15, but one shot will take it low enough for you to kill it in one hit. I can't find anything about melee or caster minions taking extra damage from turrets, so what's going on?

If someone gets annoyed by another person using proper punctuation then it seems pretty clear to me which one of both has a problem.

That said, if the SR rework isn't going to be released this season, I think Riot really jumped the gun then. Imagine if this was official news during Worlds. Fans would have so much to look forward to during Worlds and then immediately after. Right now, it's 3-4 months away, at best.
I believe the idea is that they want players to test it out on PBE. Even if PBE isn't the best for quality/balance testing, it sure does root out quite a few bugs(and even then Riot doesn't seem to pay much attention to all the bug reports). It's also helpful for to play around with/test performance for various machines. I don't think it's that bad to hype it up if they release it in proper time. Then again, they did that with replays, and people have seemed to have forgotten they hyped the release for that. So, yea. Riot too strong?

This is kinda my point as well. Anyone that can type at around 90wpm shouldn't be losing any time by typing properly, in fact, it's possible that intentionally skipping punctuation and trying to take shortcuts would result in lost typing speed because of the requirement to think more about what you're typing. Whatever allows me to type what I need to type as fast as possible, (because I'm mid-game and don't have time to sit there thinking about what I'm saying) is how I'm going to type.
And again, no, they aren't tryhards. I would wager that they're generally over the age of 20 and just know how to type properly.
|
Yeah when I was doing it I did have cases where if we took somebody who typed at like 100+ WPM and always used proper punctuation and specifically told them to not use capitals and periods, they'd type slower.
That shit was one of the most fun and also most useless things I did in college. Memories.

so apparently helios in NA is pretty much confirmed? helios actually replacing snoopeh? with that change EG might be shaking up the rankings soon. I don't think a single player would make them top dogs, but definitely out of the bottom 2 imo.
It's gonna be like Seraph, except probably a bit better in mechanics.
But the level of communication is going to be worse.

snoopeh is even more outdated then theoddone, its been a long time coming. You cant stay on 20 cs the entire game anymore
|
it's really hard to say this season, the games where Snoopeh has looked bad it's been just as much InnoX's fault

the only reason it isnt as noticable is because of riot's idiotic jungle at the moment. clearing any golem or red buff instantly brings you back into the game regardless of behind you were due to the catch up experience. Snoopeh is always massively behind in items

They used to take less damage from towers but Riot decided Ziggs was having too hard of a time stalling games to 90 minutes.
