You have HoF and DS to just bop all over mages now. Especially since HoF has 2 charges and cools down on 1 charge every 25 seconds, and reduces that length by 1 second per crit. If you were a warrior I would understand, but still not feel for you. #freemage Back on topic. I have found that my teams are slowly getting more and more balsy in ranked. Gold 4 and I'm finally getting people that UNDERSTAND that if I throw the lantern to them and land a hook, that we are going to fight. Regardless of if you think its a good idea or not. | ||

Depends on the melee. Only the ones with multiple long range gap closers (e.g. Akali) do well. Champs like Darius and Singed cry like there is no tomorrow. You can't kill him in a single burst, but you can harass him very handily. Lissandra doesn't really burst anybody (unless you go Faker DFG style) In this match up, you have to be aggressive early with your Q and put him behind. If he stays back and farms with Q instead of trying to harass you back, you push and roam. | ||

Singed had me pretty curious since post-6 he runs faster, regenerates a bunch of the harass and should be able to keep her in the poison trail through Q and W when his ult is on and he manages to reach her, plus a badly timed E can be screwed by Fling before she can jump to it. On the other hand, her W has more range than Fling and an equal or shorter cooldown than Mega Adhesive, so he probably can't use it, or at worst she'll be able to E out. I managed to get a bunch of Qs on Gragas early on (I ate way too many barrels too, that's something like 20% of your HP at level 1?) so that's why we traded kills, at level 3 (pretty normal that he'd "win" an all-in at that point though). My thoughts were that post-6 you can't farm without being in range of Explosive Cask (her Q is 725 range to the first target, and up to 825 with the shards) so it's really easy for him to initiate a gank or just combo you, especially if you try to harass him (happened at one point, tried to combo his low-health, didn't mash R fast enough, ate his ult, than Lee's ult who was coming from lane, died during the ping-pong cc :< ). Most mages without escapes feel like they just die to his damage if he hits an ult, apart from stuff like Orianna, so I assumed if I gave him an opening he'd 80-0 me easily. He also used E to farm at some point, which is kind of a cue to teleport to him and combo him while it's down, since he can't run away from the claw, so... I just thought he wasn't that good and I was lucky. | ||

You use this to keep the enemy laner down (especially if they are an assassin), and leverage your team fighting prowess, as well as half-decent pick potential (E->Ult enemy->Zhonyas) in the mid game. She really loses to hardcore burst though. Malz for example is a nightmare. He might have to burn flash, but he 100-0s you at 6, and you can't stop it. | ||
