but i think the reason sightstone isnt more popular is basically a solo q problem. you cant rely on your team mates to even look at the map which devalues warding for people, or if you all see someone coming in to your jungle to take a buff you cant be sure your team will kill them.
i think if more pros got them while they streamed solo q it would spread down the leagues a lot faster, but even if they dont i think it will be one of those things that just changes eventually and suddenly everyone will wonder why they didnt do this before.

The cost of sightstone is pretty much what you would buy instead of kindlegem to golem. It's unlikely you'll have 950g to buy the sightstone, and spirit gem is quite cheap and useful. I would upgrade the golem if, and when you need tenacity.

i think it depends on the jungler, but i would get at least my spiritstone and boots 1 first, because they are so core to both clear speed and ganking potential. but i think sightstone after that is a sensible pick up on most junglers.
