I think the group of people I was with(like 10 asians with a white teacher), was more asian people together than some people had ever seen in their lives from some of the looks we were getting. Also I don't know how people live with 30+ degree 100% humidity. Felt like I was going to drown every minute I was outside. | ||

Seriously, in my last 3 ranked matches I've gone 6/5/1 (Graves), 0/3/1 (Sona support), and 10/6/3 (Lucian). The Graves game I was even in lane vs. my opponent and my Jungler never ganked, and kept dying in top/mid lane, which lead to my deaths when we went to do teamfights. The Sona game someone insta-locked Twitch after I called adc, and the entire game he kept calling me bad for not warding when, outside of shoes and a Philo Stone, all my gold went to wards. The Lucian game I won lane handily (Lucian + Thresh make for a killer bot lane duo, but I was LOLing so hard at the lore,) but Rengar fed kills to top and mid, and some jerk went Ashe mid for no reason, fed kills to Lux, and when we went to team fights I was the one focused. Seriously, I feel like I can only carry so much, cause I can't carry stupidity. Also, for Lucian I went BotRK into IE, was going to go LW next but never got a chance to build it. Build path for it feels pretty smooth, so long as you can farm well in lane and/or get lots of kills. Otherwise it'll probably go slow as balls, but the moment you hit IE + BotRK you're basically done with your core items. Everything else is just gravy. Maxed W first, then Q, then E, and obviously I maxed R as soon as I could. And for those curious, my friends are Bronze 3 (honestly should be Silver, as they went 5-0 in placements then had 3 games in a row of AFKers + disconnects), Bronze 2 (who refuses to do ranked anymore because of idiot allies), and Gold 5 (who can't get higher due to getting paired vs. Diamonds). ... As I look at my lolking stats, since going 6-4 in placements, I have gone 1-8 in ranked games since being placed in Silver 4, and almost promptly getting deranked to Silver 5. What am I doing wrong? Sorry, but I really doubt the validity of this statement. Your Bronze 2 friend likely doesn't play very well himself (or herself). If you're "stuck" in Bronze or Silver you 100% have serious deficiencies in your play that you probably aren't noticing. And if your Gold 5 friend is truly getting matched with Diamond players he would've either a. been promoted to at lest high Plat already, or b. it doesn't matter if he loses more than he wins because if he's literally meeting Diamond players every game he'll be gaining like 50 points per win while only losing 1~5 per loss. So I must conclude that a. he's not actually facing diamond players (unless it's a duo, in which case I feel his pain) or b. he's purposefully throwing/dodging out of his promos. Honestly, if you're stuck in Silver/Bronze, I can guarantee you that there's something significantly wrong with how you play and you're simply not realizing it. And by something wrong I mean mechanics as in csing, trading, essentially everything you need to literally curb stomp your lane opponents. Either that or you have terrible game sense and tend to throw. If you're serious about improving/moving up the ladder, you can play TL in-houses. There's also a help me thread somewhere. You might have to necro it though. | ||

God that matchup is brutal. There's like this tiny window where you can force darius out of lane and get a respite, but you really need the jungler to come and kill the guy to win the matchup. I was once in your position too. Except placed in Bronze III. I cared too much about winning and losing, and would just go on tilt. I started just playing to have fun, and improve. Ended up going legendary everygame, carrying with highest damage done, and am currently Silver III gaining 40 LP per win. League is all about your attitude. If you go in just to have fun, and not stress about winning or losing. You end up playing far better. TL;DR: Shit happens. Make the best of it. | ||
