In Sweden chicken breasts are usually about the same price or a bit cheaper than the most popular pork cuts, and significantly cheaper than beef. From what I understand though beef is a lot cheaper in the US than it is over here compared to other meats | ||

As for raising I honestly have no idea. I assume it's cheaper to raise an idividual chicken than it is for a cow or pig since they require significantly less space and resources. Edit: Cheap, low-quality, cuts of beef can be really really cheap; cheaper than chicken. But that stuff is gross. Equivalent quality of beef and chicken usually leans towards the beef as being more expensive once you get out of the low-quality stuff. | ||

Best thing ever is ox tail. Buy ox tails, put a little bit of olive oil on top with some green onions and basil. Put in oven with baguette. Scoop out deliciousness on slices of baguette with chopped garlic and put some fresh parm cheese with that. Best snack ever. | ||

I tasted bone marrow with vendace roe it was pretty amazing. Iron tasting food is something I am used to as I ate a lot of game midrare/rare when i grew up. Duck liver, Oysters and Sweetbreads are my 3 favourite foodstuffs. | ||
