Also I wanted to say that this does directly effect their income, because a large factor of why people buy skins is based on their goodwill toward riot. Having non-functional servers quickly evaporates user's goodwill.
The EUW situation reminds me of Yogi Berra talking about a restaurant... "Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded"

not trolling... is there something specific you think is ridiculous?
Unless I'm entirely mistaken about the Riot-employed TL population, then the only person who is in any position to know anything about the workings of Riot's code base, their server statuses and maintenance schedules, their available revenue and resources, or anything of the sort would be MoonBear. Except he's a Wrenchie and still wouldn't know nearly as much about it as someone working for the core engine that drives the game.
Which is to say that no one here has the knowledge, experience, or understanding capable of saying what Riot can and should do. I work in programming too, and while I can understand bits and pieces of what makes LoL work, there's no way I could assert the best way for them to make things "better" or how much effort it would take. It's just not possible.
Complaining about lacking feature X is one thing (I want replays too, goddammit), but there is no possible grounds on which anyone can say "Riot can do this, it's easy, the only reason they don't is because they're stupid/lazy/moneygrubbing/etc." If anybody has managed to find proof of this phenomenon, then I'm sure we'd all love to hear it. But I guarantee that if you're surmising that Riot has the resources (time, money, or otherwise) to fix everything that you want fixed and just isn't doing so, then you're missing something.

This is just a tangent... but about Riot's code which I don't have any information on... I did see presentation via youtube on Berkshelf (chef) by one of Riot's developers. I don't use Chef but i thought the presentation was pretty good and left me thinking that Riot has some good developers. If you are interested in learning about and using Chef i'd recommend it.

OhNeverMind's post made sense and was well-written, not sure where you're seeing the troll at all

Ok well, your first paragraph after the first sentence is legit. So yeah. :D
The first sentence is a bit alarming, who in the world assumed riot had a personal vendetta against EUW? Just a silly remark to make that makes you come across as an outsider bitching on europeans for having a problem when he has none (In regards to LoL.)
People not buying RP because of the server issues is neglible. I can bet my ass that 99% of people who buy RP just 1) Have the money 2) Want to so they can have cool shit. The servers being down for a few days isnt going to stop them buying RP as they know when the servers are up, they can use their shit and the game is absolutely awesome (when the servers work. which is a good 95% of the time..hue) Im a victim of this (£9 on sunday.), so call it bias, but i dont think its an unreasonable assumption.
And i dont know who Yogi Berra is, but while the sentence "nobody goes there, its too crowded" is completely contradicting itself. It's actually a valid point. I have many a time walked away from a good restaurant because its been packed to shit and gone elsewhere, like im sure many other people have. Purely because its harder to relax with all the noise / clusterfuck of people. Ofc "nobody" going there is an exaggeration / unvalid way of getting his point across but yeah..thats what i take from that statement
So yeah, those are the points i assumed to be trollish, mainly your first sentence which just screamed "Hue i dont have issues, y u all bitchin"

The first sentence was primarily in response to greggy who said
that doesn't mean I'm not in a position to criticise their decisionmaking. completely leaving EUW (and only EUW, mind you) to freewheel for years now is a conscious decision however *cut*
And perhaps this is just my own behavior but I have discretionary income and one reason I choose to spend money on vanity items like skins is because I like the experience riot provides. If I couldn't log in reliably for months on end i'd be pissed too and would be much less likely to spend my money.
