NA might luck out against EU but there's no way that any of the reasons mentioned above is going to have a noticeable impact on how well NA does against the Asian teams. Well thourough preparation plays a big role in deciding results in my opinion. A well researched strategy, with smart mind games in the picks and bans goes a long way. Gambit Gaming's triumph in IEM Katowice was not due to them playing at their absolute peak form (they did very poorly in the group stages), but more to do with the research they had on the limitations of the AD carries of Frost/Blaze, Diamondprox reading CloudTemplar/Helios like a book (partly due to research, although this is pure speculation, CloudTemplar has very predictable jungle routes), and the itemization and team composition the Korean teams were not used to. Najin Sword later borrowed Gambit Gaming's strategy to completely demolish Frost in the finals. Sure Gambit Gaming is an excellent team. But a large part of what decided the winner was the level of specific preparation for their opponents. The bootcamping is not just about grinding out the hours to become as emmaculate as Uzi in terms of mechanics, but doing research, discussing the best method of approaching their enemy, and sharing ideas. Imagine the minds of Curse Gaming, CLG, TMS, and Dignitas all united and preparing for a month in advance. I could easily see that team being just as scary as any other, if they prepared really well, perhaps apart from the Chinese. You cannot dismiss the power of the homefield advantage. Surely gaining a seeding into the round of eight is worth fighting for, even if gaining an additional qualification slot is a long shot (it's a long shot for any team other than China in my opinion). I'm afraid to write any more. I now have a phobia of things changing as I write. LoL is now a first person shooter.

I'd play but I'm in class. Let me know if you still want to in two hours.

The Bo5 for Challenger is quite a bit of fun. I also hope NA gets destroyed. When Curse and CLG were streaming scrims I looked forward to hearing the communication. I assumed that with Curse's new-found success they must have improved on their communication and gotten past egos. I was let down and still heard the same old bullshit. Communication isn't the only factor in a successful team but definitely one of the largest. I really hope they begin taking practice time more seriously because you know Asian teams do not fudge around with practice.

MPen Mundo. Sorc shoes -> Liandry's and transition into appropriate tank items. (Sunfire, Visage, etc). MPen Reds/Blues and even Quints if you want/can afford.
Fuck the tank items, more sorc boots, that mpen aint unique yo.

At least the other teams will be spending the least amount of time researching/practicing against NA so that's a little consolation I guess. I actually want to see NA get stomped. I think there's been a lot of people, even pros, who kind of are on the fence about saying whether other regions are better or not. It kind of feels a bit off when they seem to imply like "Oh yeah, they might be better, but we can still win" or "Oh, well if we just do X" or blame it on some other third thing. I don't think any of the NA teams think they currently have a chance. What do you want them to say though? "Nah, fuck it, gg. We don't stand a chance so don't root for us or support us for the rest of the season."

I don't think that word means what you think it means. If you want some real hipster shit play Galio or Swain. They can go mid and top and no one plays them. And they're both strong imo. Don't play Galio, he's a douche.
Sometimes having a username being similar to a champion name fucks with 'yer head.

Yea lizard elder, on ez and MF specifically. On mf it was funny because your double up will half health people. You can win alot of trades, and if you dont have mana regen masteries it allows for some pretty decent regen.

This is a question that has been on my mind for lil while and I can't remember the guy's name. NA Jungler, became increasingly well known around the end of season two, played a lot of AP amumu, some Mpen mundo, some nautilus, was thought to be quite innovative and played a bunch of non-standard strategies. In game name started with N or M or something I think (altho that could be way off).

Riot pls. We should totally have a Skin idea/champ idea thread. That would be kind of cool.

My favorite skin idea is still Rockstar Draven, where they give him some different guitar models and have him actually throw guitars at people. Every time he misses an axe and recasts it it gives him a new guitar model to swing around.

Or just give him two axe style guitars, because Draven.
