What it really comes down to is Regi saw Chaox as replaceable (His recent attitude not being made up by exceptional performances). If Doublelift had done something similar he'd still be on CLG. Pretty much this, chaox pretty mediocre in terms of play, there are plenty of rookie talent that could replace him. So as teamleader, regi had the choice of keeping a mediocre passive adc who was negatively impacting the team morale, or picking up a good aggressive adc who has no issues w/ anyone on that team. The answer is pretty fucking obvious.
Yet you also have to look at the fact they were weighing what's better for the team. His teammates even said Chaox was only really reliabel on MF while WIldturtle was better at the current FOTM champs(Draven and cait). It's not just about chemistry it's about being able to open up their play book too.

Turtle meshes better with the teams playstyle and it certainly seemed like Regi and Chaox clashed at an in-game level. It was obviously a very hard thing to do because they're all mates, but from a team perspective it was pretty obviously the right call and the whole team could see it.
Regi handled it extremely well. By taking ownership of the decision he probably lost a friend for life, but he did a lot to preserve the personal relationship between Chaox and the other members, making the whole process way smoother. Pretty much changed my whole perception of the guy. Props.
Also Dyrus is such a champ. I think it was unanimous that the team wanted to run with WildTurtle for a while, but kicking him off the team completely felt like it was solely Regi's decision. There was the part where Dyrus asked if they were gonna talk about it later and Regi just said "the decision has already been made."

Anything else is just bullshit made to credibilise the kick, that's all. He gave an excuse on his behavior, so what ? He was pretty apologetic to me, and also motivated. You want him to get naked, on his knees, cry an say "Sorry Reginald, sorry the team, I let you down".

That ok corner who got a dwi isn't with the team anymore. Yeah, agreed. That's what I was getting at when I brought up Doublelift in the next post.

I don't know that (keep playing WT while keeping Chaox on sub) was really a viable option. Wouldn't have been fair on either player. WT should have some certainty about his position, Chaox should be allowed to move on without the saga dragging out.

As I said before, If Reginald did this just because of professional reason, I will be ok with it. But this doesn't look professional at all. If Reginald was being professional, he would at least give Chaox a sub spot/benched him for a month or so as a punishment or event do a wage fine. Then after that he can kicked Chaox if WT does really well in LCS. 3 games are not enough to replace a player that were with the team for the last 2 years.
Kick the player with out any chance of let him do the right thing is a big no no in all sports.
Also, if Chaox was replaced because he wasn't good enough, Reginald should have replaced himself a long time ago. Even in the game where WT got a pentakill, Reginald's TF was horrible...tbh.
I don't even like Chaox, I see him as a meh-meh ADC as well, but the way Reginald handled this was just too harsh/personal.
I want to believe that this is a professional decision but I would be a fool to believe in that honestly.

I want to believe that this is a professional decision but I would be a fool to believe in that honestly. Actually, they didn't base this off of 3 games. Chaox had been a problem pretty consistently throughout TSM's history. I have a lot of respect for Reginald, the team had seemingly unanimously decided on Turtle, but Regi took it on himself, makes himself seem like the bad guy, so that the rest of TSM can still leave Chaox as friends. Mad respect there.

Professional sports generally have much more explicit conduct clauses in contracts. Even without one, a pattern of tardiness, lack of commitment, and lack of performance/improvement will get you benched or dropped from just about any sport.

This is the first example regarding the Gamecribs episode to which I can relate.
Fuck... that's probably bad.

I'm really disappointed by two things:
1) Chaox wasn't given a chance to correct his behavior. 2) They filmed all of those scenes of Regi asking people who they preferred. You just can't do that and expect honest responses. Even if you do, you take them aside afterwards and ask for candid opinions. You just aren't going to get them in front of a camera. Especially right after a nice win streak with the last thing Chaox did pissing you off.
The whole thing just felt voyeuristic. I just know that's not how I would want to be treated.
In the end, it might be the best thing for the team. Doesn't change the fact that it was done in a shitty way.
Edit: And I mean, there's got to be something else, right? It seems like Regi had basically decided to kick Chaox if WT was competent/meshed at all. I feel like for a team that's watched/scrutinized so much, there's a fair bit that we don't know.

Requesting a three month ban, bored of pro player discussion and I don't want to feel compelled to keep up with the thread. It's just drama drama drama all day.

People also have to realize that WT also needed a decision. WT is on Cloud9, who recently qualified for LCS Qualifiers. If TSM is going to poach WT, they need to do so before the LCS qualifiers start and give Cloud9 enough time to find a replacement adc.

thats a legit point, C9 is trying people out
