Especially right after a nice win streak with the last thing Chaox did pissing you off.
The whole thing just felt voyeuristic. I just know that's not how I would want to be treated.
In the end, it might be the best thing for the team. Doesn't change the fact that it was done in a shitty way.
Edit: And I mean, there's got to be something else, right? It seems like Regi had basically decided to kick Chaox if WT was competent/meshed at all. I feel like for a team that's watched/scrutinized so much, there's a fair bit that we don't know. As far as responding to 2) in Xpecial's blog, he said there was a meeting with the manager and the 4 members of they team where they talked it over. It was probably a boring meeting and in the end, Gamecrib is a reality show. It's about the ratings.

Any advice GD for a S2 (barely) gold player trying to get back into the swing of things? Anyone wanna duo a bunch or something? That's what happens when you get Andy Dinh out of the Reginald personality. He does the Regi for show, it's publicity.

Chaox drama derail: Maokai. Lets talk about Maokai. There is no Maokai thread. He's on sale so I bought him. I really like him, but he has insane mana issues.
The Odd One goes scaling mp5 quints to mitigate this. Scaling mp5 makes sense since you'll probably have blue until the time that the MP5 breaks even with flat regen runes. So in theory I like the idea. I would rather not dump 3k IP into these, but I will if this is the only option.
Madreds or Sprit Stone and why?
IMO, Aegis and Locket are mandatory on him since they work well with his ult. Maokai becomes a friendly damage mitigating guardian and a cool counter to AOE comps. Maokai thoughts?

Well it's not really posible to farm only the jungle.Even if they buff it to give more gold I'd bet money that we would just see laners taxing more(unless you CAN'T take em without the jungle items or it is too hard).Having your gold focused rather than spread out seems better in league imo.

Ahh, but the problem I am talking about is the fact that a kill-less gank, even with a char like Olaf or Nasus, is worth more than Doubles, and takes less time.

Madreds on Maokai because his clears suck without mana

Well I kind of like how the jungle forces you to make plays.Makes the game more interesting. But golems should get changed I agree.Unless you have smite not really worth getting them on most champs.

@Phunk: I did alot of jungle Maokai back in S2, havent played him that much in S3 though. Spirit Stone: Mana/Heal regen. Maokai don't need the damage to be successful in gank. His kits is more than enough already.
Maokai is godlike vs an AOE team comp. But once fall behind, Mao becomes kind of a second support which isn't good. Aegis probably a must, not sure about Locket though. I'd go for a Shurelya since you are the one that can engage/disengage. Rely on the support for a Shurelya sometime won't work out.

If you like it, that is perfectly fine, but it is not how the S3 jungle was advertised.

Mao likes CDR too since he has a point-blank knock-back on a 6s cd, a ranged root on a 13s cd and his ult's cd goes from 40 to 20s, so it's really easy to get an additional cast of any of those with some CDR. And yeah, even with spirit stone he goes oom way too fast and has no clear speed without mana (he's the guy who won't do golems without smite, even Naut can once he gets some armour and levels in W, though he'll stop being able to do it later on), so as sad as it is madred's better on him (he's not zooming enough nor does he have the solo drake potential of somebody like Udyr or Vi to justify spirit stone+madred's).
s3 jungle makes him pretty sad. Naut and Sejuani have trash tier first clear because of it too, but they somehow get better after that. Mundo's first clear is pretty weak too.

If you intend to build anything out of Stone, Stone. Otherwise, be like everybody else and use the Dreds and kick it to the curb when you're done with it. Early armor and faster clearing are both desirable things and since it doesn't give AD now, there's no wasted stats.

Oh riot actually advertised that?Considering it gave even less at the start I wonder what they are taking if they can't notice it doesnt :D.

The stated goals of the jungle were (in-eloquently stated) : Increase the number of viable junglers (Emhasis was on Fiddle and Warwick by several Reds) Decrease the emphasis and power of low level ganks Make farming the jungle at late game be worthwhile for gold Decrease laners taking camps Allow "carrying from the jungle"

Altho I think Chaox would have wanted to be out of the house as fast as possible anyway, I still can't see the necessity in telling him that he has to get out by the end of the day, he have to make this choice by himself.
All in all, as Sufficiency pointed out, you can't be a player, a owner and a manager at the same time, as every possible action you will be bound to make will always be entwined with emotions and your personnal preferences (you can't tell me that Regi apparent good feeling with WildTurtle didn't play any part in Chaox's bench). It's interesting actually because the other team that has a record of benching people for discutable reasons is CLG, where the owner is also a player - the infamous HotshotGG. It also eccho with Woong in Korea.

Regi's getting praise because he took responsibility for the decision when he didn't have to. It was clearly a team decision, but there was little benefit from painting it in that way to Chaox so he took the rap for it.
I wholeheartedly agree on the difficulty of having a single player/owner/manager. You'd never see this kind of drama in a rl sports team because the decision would be made at arms length of the team (by the coach/ceo etc), not by the player you had been in the trenches with for year. That said, LoL teams are what they are. For better or for worse this kind of thing will continue to happen.

i personally only do golems on my very first clear-- wolves, blue, wraith, wolves, red (smite) golems into top gank. otherwise its hard to justify going so far out of the way for them and they do pretty heavy damage at early levels. :/
regi is batman
not hero tsm needs, but the one tsm deserves.

A lot of people, when they know they have to hurt the people they care about, will try to get it done through even more distant means. They let Rain Man stay around for a while and it seemed awkward as hell for everybody.
As for whether or not Regi should be wearing all the hats he is... it's really irrelevant. The situation is what it is.
