It's a bit misguided to point the finger at LoL in general and not Pendragon in particular, but I'd say his rather unceremonious departure warrants some scrutiny. Who is Pendragon? I think the best way people like to describe the "pentadragon" situation is to imagine Nazgul one day suddenly shutting down Teamliquid losing all the threads, replay, analysis, writeups etc. Pendragon co. ran a site called dota allstars which was basically the teamliquid of Dota and one day shut it down xD and put up a LoL ad.
And in TL's place, Nazgul just put a giant clickable EG logo. Then, over the course of the near future kept taking pot shots in the media about other TL staff for working with other organizations(like IGN or something) to grow the site even further and introduce it to a far broader audience then was ever possible previously.
He is a not liked person.

Saw a Reddit thread asking for an official replay system from Riot, expected comments from Shake, was not disappointed.

Sadly it doesn't really matter anymore. He played a not so small role in getting the hate-League ball rolling, and at this point people just go with it because it has become a back and forth feud. It is absolutely about competition between the games, and Pendragon threw gas on the fire early on.
Edit: I don't think anyone is saying he is solely responsible or anything either though. Games in the same genre will always have some back and forth among their fans(see: CS vs Quake when they were both prime competition games, or PC FPS vs Console FPS in general, etc).

I think it was Guinsoo who tweeted sth that implied that he's not working for riot anymore or at least not directly involved in LoL and people speculated that he switched to the developer team for the new riot games.
holy shit Pendragon has alot of Twitter followers, more than double the followers Oddone has.

I'm pretty sure most of the DotA community that dislikes League dislikes it for the same reason that the SC2 community dislikes it. It's competition. And since League has been #1 in eSports viewership for over a year the League community has no real reason to hate on either game since there isn't really any competition. There's also pretty convincing evidence that Riot's gotten several hero designs from the hero design forum that was on Dota-Allstars (don't have the links on hand right now, but I was able to find two hero concepts that pretty clearly became Brand and Nocturne). Obviously within their right to do so as Pendragon was the site owner, but still leaves a bad taste in peoples' mouths.

Lol, I'm in Silver I, around 50 League point, I win one, win 25 LG. I'm around 75, I win one, go to 85, win 10 pts. Win one game again, win 7 league points, I'm at 92, then win another, and win 4 league points, I'm now sitting at 96. Damn hard to get back to gold. The curve of League Point win is completly fucked up.
Also Guinsoo is still working for Riot, just not for league of legend apparently.

This has been posted many times. The requirements to promote out of silver/gold 1 into a higher tier are very severe. But considering you cant get demoted once your there i have to admit i can understand it. Riot said they would lighten it. not sure if thats already implemented or not.

That it has been adressed already does not makes it less funny.

I always thought Nocturne was kind of a rip-off of Spectre in DotA, pretty similar functions.

I've also heard that timbersaw in dota got released after rumble but that rumble was stolen from the idea of tibersaw.
