I've been pretty happy the last year and a half since I discovered league. Thanks for being an awesome community to be a part of ![]()

The goal is to kill someone anyway, dying or not after the target dies is just exogene variable that doesn't really matter in regards to your objectif (which is killing the target). If you end up by trading 1 for 1, or even dragging one of your mates into dying stupidly, just don't forget to say "worth it" and it's all okay.

Their loss I guess ^^ I've been pretty happy the last year and a half since I discovered league. Thanks for being an awesome community to be a part of ![]() To be fair, the "I'm so sad"s are at least partially about the fact that that person is retiring from a game the fans/spectators liked watching them play. But yeah, I get what you're saying.

Thanks for being an awesome community to be a part of ![]() if you're referring to the darkforce retiring thread, there are enough ppl (even several whom i've never seen on the LoL boards) calling out the assholes that i'm beginning to see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. The TL community as a whole is finally maturing and realizing that LoL is here for the foreseeable future. Or, at the very least, the circlejerk of LoL hate is starting to break.

Thanks for being an awesome community to be a part of ![]() Well the community as a whole sucks donkey balls, but TL is great. All you need to do is open Twitch and sort by viewership to learn where eSports is going. On any given day (without a tourney on), viewership looks like: LoL - 74k WoW (wtf?) - 12k SC2 - 7k CoD - 5k DotA2- 2k Edit- Just opened Twitch to check for today: LoL- 70k DotA2 - 12k SC2 WoL- 9k WoW - 6k D3 - 4k SC2 HotS - 3k Which is a little better for SC2 than most nights. I love watching casted games in bed for sleeptime, so IPL's series is awesome for me. But most nights, it looks like the top figures.

Playing pub games is not E-Sports. It's just playing games.

I'd certainly say that peak tournament viewers is a solid measure of an eSport for sure, but as a guideline, it is fairly obvious that competitive gaming is leaning towards MOBAs. Personally, I made the switch from SC2 to LoL simply because winning by yourself isn't all that fun, and I have enough RL friends to 4 and 5 queue every time I play. I'd like to see CS:GO make a push as a popular sport, but IPL would have to pick it up over Shootmania (who plays Shootmania!?).

Fear of the unknown and resistance to change is quite common and powerful: 1.6 players hate on CS:S, Halo, and CoD players. (However, console FPS really does deserve to be teased) BW players hate on SC2 players SSBM players hate on SSBB players (SSBB really isn't a strong competitive game tho) DotA players hate on LoL players

Well actually all the "good" SC2 players are staying in SC2 and the ones who can't make it/bow out early are the ones who go to LoL. Just saying.

I know I should have put that in quotes. "Good" players that quit Sc2 i ment. Look at darkforce as an example, or any korean semipro

Obviously only due to everyone's favorite SC2 team finally picking up a League team. A community manager type person for League. He ran a big DotA website, when he got hired by Riot he put a giant ad for League of Legends on the site and then deleted everything. People were rightfully angered by it since it meant tons of guides and everything on the forums was gone for good. It's pretty stupid though to assume that people from DotA hate League purely because of one Rioters actions three years ago. I dunno if anyone could be that petty. I'm pretty sure most of the DotA community that dislikes League dislikes it for the same reason that the SC2 community dislikes it. It's competition. And since League has been #1 in eSports viewership for over a year the League community has no real reason to hate on either game since there isn't really any competition.

LoL and DotA2 I can understand, but SC2 and LoL should really get along. Just work together and schedule your big tournaments on different weekends, it's k.

I think the best way people like to describe the "pentadragon" situation is to imagine Nazgul one day suddenly shutting down Teamliquid losing all the threads, replay, analysis, writeups etc. Pendragon co. ran a site called dota allstars which was basically the teamliquid of Dota and one day shut it down xD and put up a LoL ad.
