She also really enjoys the new offensive tree. It's never been so easy to get CDR/AD/ArPen without getting useless stats or sacrificing good ones. Plus, DBlade + Bruta early game is fucking dumb, but now you can make that work into mid/late as well. | ||

I'm terrible at riven, and I have like an 80% winrate with her this season. This patch is pretty nuts. edit: I talked about this before, but being able to get away with no boots for the majority the laning phase really helps you dominate most lane opponents. I start with longsword + 2 pots, and then try to all-in at level 2. I get first blood about 50% of the time, but if I don't then I just pot up and shove the wave hard. While they're stuck under their tower, I head back to base and grab dblade + pots + ward and come back and just dominate them. They're in an awkward position because they can either 1) go back and lose another wave or two or 2) try to stay in lane with just their boots vs my dblade + longsword. Either way, they usually end up losing the lane. | ||

The MBR problem is more complicated than that. It wasn't simply that the tankier players had more MR, but that the champions who were supposed to build MBR to counter them had no reason to build Magic Penetration, and even if they did it wouldn't have done much good. However, Liandry's doesn't suffer from that issue, as the Season 3 changes make cutting through a tank's MR easier, and the types of champions who'll build Liandry's want to do that anyway (not to mention Liandry's has Magic Penetration built in). That's not to say Liandry's burn is compelling, but that it definitely doesn't suffer from the same issue as MBR. If anything, it matches the Maw of Malmortius more than any other item, an upgrade which is a significant improvement over simply selling the item, but otherwise isn't worth rushing. | ||
