Unique Active - Ghost Ward: Consumes a charge to place an invisible ward that reveals the surrounding area for 3 minutes. You may have a maximum of 2 wards from this item at once. All hail new support wriggles. EDIT: And it upgrades too. Depending on the upgrade, it could be good on everyone. It gives 329 gold worth of HP and provides 300 gold worth of wards from the get-go. If you're ever going to place more than 4 wards (pretty much everyone) it's cost-effective immediately and only gets better. Support might actually be the least likely to want it because supports are the most likely to have more than 2 wards up at once. mehhh if it upgrades i can see every lane picking this up since it's super cheap and practically prevents ganks Agreed. The fact that it essentially removes the cost from re-warding your lane after it's been Oracle cleared also potentially makes things awkward for jungle ganks.
I think you're way off base regarding the value of the Sightstone for supports. Having the ability to keep two wards up for the whole game is worth at least 8 gp10 for a support. Factor in Oracle's and it can be worth even more. No support is going to think, "Oh darn, I need to place more than two wards at some point, better ignore Sightstone." For both laning and later in the game, this item is a support's dream. It's not like they can't have this and also buy any additional wards they need.
I do, however, agree with kainzero that there's a risk everyone will want this item, and that's probably both a bad thing and not what Riot intends.

That thing has got to be the dumbest thing riot has suggested in a while.

5 sightstones is fine when you consider all the money you save on buying wards except ad carry probably wont get it support with just buy a couple extra wards to make up for it

How often is it that your team wants or needs more than 10 wards on the map at once? It's going to take an item slot that was pretty much always devoted to wards in the first place, while not costing anything to replace the wards, giving you 125 HP in that slot, AND having the option to build it to something. Even if their intention is not to remove all ward buying, this honestly has the potential to do that. I eagerly await the hilarity of having 3xWriggles + 5xSightstone on a team. I actually bought 4 wards yesterday in a line and tried to trick a lux into walking over towards each one and thinking she was getting baited. It almost worked but she killed 3 with no loss to herself :p
I don't really care for the item change discussion. I'll skim over them when I get the chance and then I'll abuse what I can. Abuse what I think is bad on my enemies too. Riot has made the game rather stale. They should release a whole bunch of stuff.

Riot can seriously destroy the game with this item overhaul. These changes are so drastic and I don't like it. It took them long enough to make the game "balance" as it is, and now they need to start from scratch.. I guarantee some champion will become completely broken because they synergize too well with the new items.

However adding in this in addition to continually releasing champions every two weeks...

Maybe not early game, but there's a point where your AD would rather have wards in 6th slot than a DBlade, and now he can have a Sightstone instead.

With brand new items, and a completely different jungle, considering it took us MONTHS (not including the previous season) to get to the point where people are smart enough to stop playing all junglers that need wriggles, it could take a really really long time for players to get to a point of normalcy.

For some reason my LoL ping is around 200 even though my connection is perfectly fine otherwise. Anyone have any idea why this might be happening? It's been going on for the past week.

Took longer than normal for the doom gloomers to come out. Every big change that has been implement since I started playing, people have predicted it would destroy the game.
They have been quite obviously wrong every time, but hey, there is always next time!

at 650 gold there's no reason why you can't pick it up early game, secure yourself from ganks, and then sell it mid/late game if you need money or slot efficiency.
i don't understand why they are making drastic changes instead of incremental ones designed to test how everything's going before going on with the next change.

had the same problem today on EUW, started a botgame to lasthit abit 30 ping as usual totally fine, enter ranked game suddenly constant 200~ping, took a break after almost smashing my keyboard because it was the first time i had ping issues, enter new ranked game 30-50 normal ping with occasional spikes to 170-200
