CLG is hilarious. That's 3 members benched now.
Chauster is moving to jungle - Chauster has always said that this is his most inexperienced and worst role. I don't know if he thinks he's really the person on the team that can adapt and learn a new role, or he was forced (no other choice). We've seen how sudden lane swaps work before...
HotShot back to top - The reason they brought in VoyBoy in the first place, because HSGG's top was just not up to scratch. I don't know why he thinks he can just go back and pretend that never happened.
Loco - To be honest, I havn't watched the LoL scene long enough to really know loco that well. I saw him play not very well as AD Carry as part of Mig Frost in the Korean OGN leagues and didn't see any of his games as StarTale. Apparently handsome and good charisma (posts on teamliquid!). Hopefully brought in for reasons apart from that he is Korean and popular.
CLG is in a weird place, the team owner is also a player. They are massively popular and are making lots of money even without winning. Usually you see teams disband or several players split if things aren't working but I guess money is a big incentive. I've never seen a team cycle through players at this kind of pace, thats 3 members replaced one at a time in less than a year.

the whole decision makes some sense. with chau in the jungle he is able to make plays and calls better, chau had some weird botlane games and his bias towards lulu is weird too. if chau manages to be more humble then I think chau jungle will be one of the best decisions. hsgg has two major weaknesses top lane: a tiny champion pool and tunnel vision. In the other hand he makes one of the scariest top laners, and even if his pool is small he has a very good attitude towards adapting builds. Hsgg is a very emotional/romantic player which makes it hard for him to just grind out games with champions he doesn't fall in love with but his selection is not that bad either but rather scary and weird. He often manages to win lanes you wouldn't think he'd win because he is able to take risks and focusses his play on mindgames. He dies alot but in the other hand he draws alot of attention towards him which provides room for his team, kinda like TPA works. Chau is the perfect choice for the jungle, given hsgg is in toplane. I believe the abysmall synergy between hsgg and sv was a major reason for clg and especially hsgg not performing, remember how emotional hsgg is and how rude sv tends to be and on top of that both players are very stubborn about their picks which makes things worse. I hope chau will learn how to pick and play a champion pool that fits clg the best and that hsgg will widen his weird top lane pool, with this prerequisite I believe they will do well and play some interesting games.
Then to the botlane: dlift is a crazy mechanical player and loco is a crazy crazy player. This will be interesting to see. I kinda have the feeling that this will work. If you put together two crazy players they will have tons of fun and make tons of plays, which can snowball either ways.

Oh well, it's not like it takes that much skill to jungle anyway.
+ Show Spoiler +Yep. I am bitter and extremely biased.

You can judge a jungler alone w.o top and mid support. I'd day overall TSM>CLG not Oddone >Saint, either way it doesn't matter now since every NA teams got crushed so bad at season 2 final.

before hotshot starts benching people he should fix things like "if fans order stuff from the clg store and it wont get delievered" for example.
He should just become a Manager and fix these things

#1 I don't feel like Voyboy ever meshed properly with how CLG goes about the game. The games CLG used to crush in my opinion were the ones when they took complete map control and slow rolled by either running a poke comp or split push comp. I don't think Voyboy has the champ pool for a good split push or poke comp. Putting HSGG back into the top lane bring these options back onto the table IF he can get into a form comparable to Asian top laners.
#2 I feel Voyboys laning in a tourney level game is too shaky. It's been a long time since I've seen Voyboy get into a losing position but still keep the lane stable. Every time I saw Voyboy get Vlad or Olaf in a game I really felt like clg was flipping a coin on the outcome.
#3 This one is going to seem like I am the queen bitch of the high school prom but, his attitude towards sheen as an item and sub-optimal builds in general. So many times I've watched Voyboy build sheen first top lane which then basically throws the advantage he got out the window. To make it worse I was watching a scrim where chauster called him out on this and he more or less told him to stfu and not critique his builds.
Keep in mind I'm only 1500 so if someone who actually gets to play with Voyboy, Hotshot and co wants to explain why my impression of Voy's top lane is actually way off base I'm happy to listen :D I'll just chime in and say he's never been a carry for CLG like he was for dig. He shined while he was on dig, never got the opportunity to so on CLG because he wasn't the 1 or 2 position on the team. My personal feeling about all the Jatt-Era Dignitas players is that they're all still more or less living in the wake of that period and Jatt's influence. Even though the current Dignitas is functional as a team, they lack that focus that made Jatt-Dignitas so powerful as a team.
Individually, Scarra, Voyboy, and qtpie are good, but not exceptional in terms of their ability to carry. It's Jatt that made them really shine and made the Dignitas machine tick. It's in many ways quite reminiscent of the current TPA.

It's been a year++ since Jatt left. dem big shoes? Gonna be sad if dig can't adapt.

^as a Guild Wars veteran I'm really excited reading stuff like this, unfortunately I didnt play LoL durig the ipl 3 Jatt era and only recently found out that he's the same Jatt from Guild Wars who won 17(!) x the monthly major tournament in Guild Wars. Jatt+Deman ftw
I also found out that Morello used to be in charge of Balance in Guild Wars aka worked for ArenaNet. Alll these years I blamed Izzy for terrible balancing...

Honestly, a lot of Jatt's ways of thinking and playing in the jungle were quite ahead of his time. When everyone was all over Saintvicious' ideas of "farm junglers", Jatt was playing what's more or less closer to the higher level jungle play we saw at Worlds from the top junglers like Ballz, CloudTemplar, and Diamond--a 4th position jungle that creates early game presence to get his team rolling, but at the same time is very much in control of his own development. Doesn't over-camp, and doesn't over-farm either; and turning his own advantages into a benefit for his team, rather than his own gain.
A lot of his ideas got ridiculed at the time (Aegis on everyone, Shurelya's as a jungler item, Spirit Visage)--but later would become used quite commonly.
It's a shame he doesn't get more credit in light of Saint being more popular and the "scumbag Jatt" business.

I'm looking forward to Loco playing bot with Doublelift, Koreans fully believe that the best player on the team is the support and Loco has worked with Madlife, who is considered top 3 support in the world, for a very long time

Wasn't Loco a pretty good AD carry even while he also was shot calling for MiG?

Been on a Fiora top binge lately; goddamn she's strong.... has some losing matchups like Lee Sin and Malphite, but does pretty good against all of the other popular top laners these days. Also, I've taken her mid a few times for shits and giggles and she stomps most mid-laners as well.

WoDx confirmed to not wanting to join a team full time. Would rather stream and be a sub. Only will join the VERY VERY best team.
