Typical solo mentality. Team sucks but I'm awesome! Plus people do seem to consider him a good player individually. Hotshot is better top simply because having a good jungle affects all lanes while top is sort of on an island for parts of the game. Removing a terribad jungle is always a good thing if Chauster can be better then Hotshot was. Hotshot also can make plays vs his lane opponent. That is if he can get back into form and compensate for new champs/lanes since he left top. Also wouldn't kill a fool to learn more champs.

Id rather have Voyboy not talking then HSGG who only goes 'duuude why didnt u effing gank my lane when i told you to effing gank my lane jesus man this is why we aaaaaaalways lose' and 'i can totally carry this game man TRUST ME'
Feel bad for Voyboy, he didnt do much wrong, he got muscled out :/

lol clg. just get rid of hotshot allready, jeez.
they allready lost badly in the Worlds and they think breaking bot and making chauster learn jungle from scratch is helping them against korean teams that practice 8+ hours a day?
of course, happy for loco, but it might be leaving korea for a sinking ship.

All part of the plan to get Loco on Curse..once Hotshot realizes top isn't his thing he'll bench loco for support role(because 2nd time is the charm) and then Saint will sweep in on wings of Shyvana ultimate and offer Loco a spot on the team. I am guessing to bench elementz for the pure reason of starting an AMA titled "Benched by two pro teams, still a better player then you AMA"
And then Jatt will make Team Riot(Throw in Phreak, Gman bob, Elementz) and win everything!

Changing roster every time they make mistakes is not going to help them improve. For me it's rather a stupid way of praying that things will fix themselves, while they could have just tried harder, the TSM way. The situation you describe fits SK better imo. They change the roster very often because they can't even get together on personal level. This is CLG's second big change and addresses the problem with Voyboy that showed up over time, it's not like they bench and hire members as they please just because they haven't had any recent success. Shortly before Dig released Voyboy, he was arguably the MVP of the tournament (where he won that "I carry big" shirt). When he then joined CLG, he never came even close to the expectations people had. Neither fans nor teammates were ever really satisfied with his performance when playing with CLG. From the top off my head, I can't really remember a single game where Voyboy carried hard like CLG's bot lane did from time to time nor a situation where he exceptionally shined while the rest of the team played like shit. If Voyboy did well, almost every other lane / jungle did well, too, which resulted in a win because of the whole team, not his individual play. More often than not, one could observe Voyboy scoring FB thanks to HSGG camping top and still losing lane by 40 CS and 1-2 kills once HS stopped camping. Also, there were several retarded chases and overaggressive 900 ELO plays that made it unnecessarily hard for his team: One of these games was this year's summer OGN when CLG was 0-1 in group stage and needed to win the next two games to advance. The first of those (vs LG-IM irrc? don't nail me on that) Voyboy almost caused a triple heart attack to the three korean commentators when he flashed through a wall into 5 enemies and everyone was like "wtf?!". Well, in the end CLG won that game, but that was more because of Chaulift carrying very hard and HSGG having an above-average day. This is no hate post and I like Voyboy for his person and relaxed attitude, but from a competitive point of view he continously underperformed. And while he is definitely not the only problematic position in CLG.na, he now got the bench hammer because he is the most recent member and getting rid of him is probably SO much easier and less drama than trying to replace HS / jiji who are the next weak links in the team imo. I don't think you understand my post. I'm not saying Voyboy was good (nor bad), I'm saying when you have a team that is not working, you fix it by training. Are you saying Voyboy could never be back in shape ? Or is it that CLG's environment is bad for him ?
If CLG environment is bad for Voyboy, that Voyboy doesn't fit and will never fit, then the change make sense (although I don't think anyone could fit in an environment with an underwhelming jungler / leader who always blame his mate and never look at his play). On the other side, if the problem is that Voyboy was not good enough, then why no training ? Why no tryharder ? Don't forget it's coming from the team that train two hours a day and then stream solo queue.

Why spend actual effort to get money, when you can get it for "free"?

OMG LOCO IS BACK YAY
Edit: Updated Sig to include locodoco fanboy. I know he'll be playing support, but does that mean we'll have to a chance to see Tristana? Loco inspired me to play tristana and she's my most-played champ atm

cause they only get those amounts of stream viewers because people think they are good.

Waiting for loco personal statement, heh heh

Although I'm really, really happy that loco is on a team again, I can't help but feel that CLG is slowly dying and loco is joining the wrong team :/

I wonder if Loco will grace TL with his presence again and explain his decision.
Maybe he'll use his Korean powers to disable solo queue and force them to skrim 20 hours a day with high ping on Korean servers.

Come on man, you're smarter than this. -you should be smart enough to trust. its laughable that anyone outside of clg thinks they have more wisdom than we do about our own team
Claiming that the player know 100% better how to fix their problems than any outsider is incorrect in my opinion. This is a question of management/training... Teams don't train themselves for a reason. Players need confidence to perform well, but the same confidence will not allow them to step down sometimes, so you need someone coming in from the outside, that can be impartial in these matters.
Of course you cannot accept reddit as your trainer and lol is so young that almost everybody that is knowledgeable about the game is a player himself, but they have moved the same player three times around into different positions and it never ended up working... So maybe that player should realize that he is not as hot as he thinks and he might try to find a different role which is more beneficial to the team as a whole.

Its a problem everywhere. Be somewhere long enough and you lose objectivity. Ofc Reddit isnt really objective either but the fact that the overwhelming responce to this is "wtf?" should show CLG that maybe there is something they missed. Tobad im 100% sure they wont see that. If only HSGG would see the right move would be to walk away.

I kind of wonder why they picked up Voyboy in the first place. They knew he was a completely different style to themselves and is far more reserved personality. I'm quite sure I remember people going "wtf Voy doesn't fit in your team at all" at the time and well few months later he gets kicked. Seems silly.

Dunno I agree with Chauster that Hotshot can be a scary toplaner. His problem is his champ pool and that he derps so often. He does communicate more than Voy though, that's true. If you ever watch a CLG.na scrim you just hear everyone yelling at each other while Voy says nothing. Loco shouts a lot, so he'll fit in. This honestly might not be the worst thing for CLG... not like they can be more pathetic than they have been these last few week (purple side lool.)
Just gotta trust yo.
Also fun fact.... I played vs Hotshot yesterday before the Voy AMA and he was playing...guess.... Top lane Chogath with TP! That champ pool.
