I'll echo the sentiment that she doesn't seem that strong for how hard she is to land stuff and how poor her range is. I'll still play her because I enjoy playing more indie champs. Why do so many people go Brutaliser into Last Whisper? AD carries all know not to rush Last Whisper. Other items give a lot of damage and then Last Whisper is for penetrating armour. But as soon as someone plays Pantheon or Garen or something they just go full retard and suddenly Last Whisper is the highest damage item in the game.
Forget that it has negative synergy, forget that you will usually be diving the squishy back line rather than needing to penetrate the front, forget that Bloodthirster gives about a million more damage as well as lifesteal. As soon as you get a Brutaliser you must follow it up with Last Whisper.
Every time I see a HeartofGold/Brutaliser/Last Whisper Pantheon suicide into the enemy AD carry I just want to cry.

It's way more interesting when casters have different spells for long duration combat like laning and short duration combat like ganks and teamfights.
A short cooldown, high cost spell can't be spammed much in lane. But with good mana management and a sufficient mana pool, you can save the full potential of that spell for teamfights. Without such mechanics, "mana management" doesn't really mean much anyways...
Now obviously such concepts might have lots of trouble with the existing casters who can just spam relentlessly both in lane and in fights...

Riot's stance on mana management has been pretty lenient. Even "heavy" mana users, are pretty light weight in comparison to DotA (obviously different game, and style, just drawing playstyle comparison). Also, mana has always been an easy stat to get in LoL, even in early game.

brutalizer last whisper is the best build on pantheon because of op base damages. probably awful on garen....
bloodthirster not as good or as cheap. and you usually don't dive the squishy backline on pantheon ......

57% win rate on pantheon, when he only played pantheon he was like 2500, and every game he builds brutalizer -> last whisper before anything else. lol
PS: health stacking is pretty good against brutalizer last whisper.

Who care about arch angeloid, when we have Smash on this forum, when talking about Panth.
Last Whisperer is really meh to rush, its effectiveness is only noticeable on 100~120+ armor. As far as Panth is concerned, you could probably fit a BF sword after brutalizer, but before needing the armor pen of LW.

i'm trying to learn dota2 right now and yea, mana management is way different.
but riot prefers more skills being used so yeah.
still syndra's mana usage is insane. the only other manahungry hero i've played is anivia but at least she uses it for pushing power. everyone else in this game has been pretty easy on mana.

The reason ADC do not get LW after say BT is that PD gives more DPS due to crit mechanics. Pantheon does not really benefit from that, so he can go straight to LW. It's totally understandable if you ask me.
Furthermore, every champion gets more armor per level, unlike MR. So LW is almost always useful after a certain point in the game simply due to level growth.

Played against a Syndra for the first time (not laned against, I was jungling). She has really decent damage/poke with those orbs against melee, and her stun thing after an ult is an absolutely brutal shotgun of doom. Other than that though, I was sort of ambivalent about her power.
She had this timing in the midgame once she maxed out her second skill where she felt really scary, but hear early/late/endgames were pretty so so.
Also, Shen support pretty legit for harass/kill lane.
