How exactly does TL feel about maining a role? I feel like you can't really just play one role(at least in low-mid tier games) because you won't always get first pick, and if you're last you usually get stuck with support or jungle. For example, I KNOW I can do excellent with Akali top, or Brand mid, but if someone before me picks that role(they usually do) I get pigeon-holed into playing something else, which then leads me to focus more on that role, etc. Should I just be average at every role, or excel at two and be bad at the rest? How do you guys trust your teammates to take a lane that you know you'll win? Not to put limitations on myself or anything, but with the time I have given to play(for now) I'd like to be in the right mindset while doing so. Any advice is appreciated <3 | ||

You can remove the leech and Udyr jungle will still be super strong >.> The shield is long enough to clear a camp :p BTW Udyr got nerfed hard a few months ago. He completely lost his dodge while not gaining anything. | ||

Any advice is appreciated <3 The usual pigeonholed spot is support. Just learn support + main, and you'll usually end up playing either role. | ||

They have it cause it's a percentage based on current HP, it's in place so you don't do 0 dmg to a low target with cleaver, which would be dumb. | ||

When I get in lobby, if I'm not first pick I'll usually just say "I'd like mid if possible plz". For the most part, I've been able to get it lately. But at the same time, I'm halfway competent at the other roles too. I'm not as comfortable and don't know the match ups as well, so I'll be more passive and farm instead of trying to press kills. As for when other people take mid, I will generally give them the benefit of the doubt. It's what I hope others do when I ask for mid, so I might as well do the same. Unless they are being REALLY obnoxious or give me a reason to doubt their intelligence. That's when I get worried with not being in my lane. (It's especially prevalent when people fail real hard with Cass or Viktor). | ||

I think udyr only operates like that because he can be a jungle. If you know he's going top I'd imagine you could just counter pick him with one of the ranged caster tops like vlad/swain/kennen or maybe even ryze. Other than that maybe urgot? I dunno, I don't feel like lane udyr is THAT immovable and the real value of the pick is only in his duality as a jungler and not everyone plays both jungle and top. Also Galio kind of gets his ass handed to him if they put a real AD Dps guy who can engage on him when he goes to clear the back waves top like Pantheon, Talon or Lee Sin, all of which can operate mid as well. | ||

Ali gives your lane two knockbacks, Blitz has the pulls for forcing summoners and getting kills. I don't think Talon belongs on that list. Galio's back row clear combo has 1000 range, and Talon's initiation has 700 range. Galio can also get a full duration Bulwark off on Talon's Q DoT even if you silence him first. But then my solution to all problems is a Full Armor rune page. Also, not everyone plays both jungle and top but that doesn't really matter. If both your top player and your jungler know the champion you can just manage trades (easier in arranged than solo queue). | ||

Vs mf/ali any aggro support like nunu/leona would be fine. Tris should be ok vs every AD. | ||

You might eat some Qs in the process but you're wasting his mana and zoning him off creeps really hard, and he can't afford trades with them. Maybe Talon less so but I still think he does really well. You'd have to bulwark before he jumps to and silences you and early level in bulwark weakens your wave clearing and costs you more mana. | ||

Or Taric if you want CC for a gank perhaps? Against MF/Ali.... Janna? Smartcast Tornado in response to Ali WQ to cancel any follow-up and has shield for trades. Or Soraka sit-in-brush-and-E-Ali-if-he-gets-near. I really like Soraka btw if it isn't obvious. And Leona as well since I think Trist E passive procs Leona passive? | ||
