They have very little desire to improve themselves. They're playing LoL just to fuck around. Essentially you want to make videos for people who half of their gaming time they're drunk or are just trolling around, and aren't interested in getting better competitively.
The people who actually wish to be competitive and need help generally are 1200+ and it's those people you should be looking to help. I don't think I know a single person below 800 elo who actually goes out of their way to watch a tutorial vid or even find out a good build.
idek what to say to this, your evidence is entirely anecdotal, surely you yourself don't even believe what you typed lol. yeah, i know some people who fuck around playing drunk at 1600 elo too. that doesn't mean that "most" 1600 players don't care about getting better. i know a certain streamer whose screen name rhymes with paintdelicious who plays ranked games at 2k elo drunk. he also takes home a pretty big paycheck by staying ahead of his contemporaries...
when i played at 700 elo, there were people bitching about how bad their teammates were and how they deserved to win in every game. if you're just playing lol to chillax, you aren't going to flame everyone on your team who goes negative. so, no, i'm p sure people at all elos in RANKED games want to improve

you can add me to the 1600s that fuck around queuing up too lol. :D and agree with gtsrs. there are all sorts of people that play and they all have different types of goals when they play and some want to improve and some don't.

1250 is 25%, not 1200. It's most likely shifted a bit since that was the distribution listed toward the end of S1, but given the overall spread of Elos at this point it shouldn't have moved by much.

Playing on my brother's account is super funtimes/hilarious to me, but those people take it REALLY seriously.
They genuinely belong at that level of elo too, no offense to them.
We're just pretty biased because of how unrepresentative of the general LoL population TL seems to me (or at least those who voted on the poll I put up a month ago).
I think I'll poll part two in another month and see where we're at.

Playing LoL drunk really doesn't make you significantly worse anyways. You aren't going to just magically suck at LoL or any video game if you're drunk. In fact, I've gone beast mode in TF2 multiple times while drinking.

Some of you guys are pretty incredible.
gtrsrs wants to make some constructive videos. Most of you who are talking down on it aren't going to be providing him any low elo accounts, much less going watch his video when it's done (I highly doubt his target audience is the general TL LoL user). What is it to you if he's using an 800 or 1200 elo account?
Don't make blanket statements. Don't be a douche on our subforum.
gtrsrs hasn't even produced anything yet that's worth any criticism. He's just looking for a lowbie account. So provide him with an account or ignore the post. Pretty simple.

afaik the only times you get 6~ elo for a game is when people are duo qing and 400-500~ elo apart; normally you should be winning/losing 12-13 per game
oh yeah loss forgivens are 6~ elo as well

I'd call myself around a 1600 player and I can play AD annie and go 9-2 at 800-900 ELO, I can still carry hard at 1100-1200 with real builds, and I start not carrying and just winning lane and doing well most of the time around 1350. Videos of 800 ELO is just silly and not going to help anyone, the only tip you can give those players is to practice more and learn what abilities do what. Its like bronze league, you dont tell them to harass more and watch expansion timing to estimate army size, you just make them work on basic mechanics and keeping their money low. most people are not at 1200, 1200 is top 25% most people are below 800 -_-
That was an old zilean statement about ALL players not just ranked, they never released numbers of actual ranked players under 1200 ELo

I don't know how it would be lf because there was no server issues at the time so it musta been that a high-elo duo quer. I feel like the system screws people who just want to improve their skill. Definitely needs to be some kind of kda ratio/xp or something. Cause I usually do well but I'm not quite good enuf to hard carry a team. I'm like just a guy who fits in and does his job but doesn't really shine beyond that.

yea I got 5 and we stomped them 5v5 no dc no nothing...just puts me off of ranked so hard. Rather just improve in normals and then played ranked next season or something. It is so different then in wow. In wow you get more the farther you are from your mmr but lol just has a binary system thats quite frustratin to deal with.

Anyone else love looking at a game in their match history to see time spent dead. Take like 5 seconds not see it and then be super proud of getting zero deaths?

Who would not want some helpful vids for lower elo players. I know in my quest for 1200 elo I would appreciate any help I can get.
Btw just got enough ip to get Naut and I played a game vs AI with him and I LOVED him lol. I love his kit so much :D Just trying to decide where I want to use him, top or jungle and his build/runes/masteries would be best on him.

lol how does it put you off ranked games? those games rarely happen; you might get 6 elo duoq games once every like 50+ games (unless you play during loss forgiven times)
