Fuck it, time for words. Don't know if this best belongs here, but it's not about "how do I do <x/y>", it's experiences with a playstyle that's been outdated for about half a year now.
Before Taric's changes from 'fairly durable with two good self-heals support' to 'shitty support', you used to be able to run him solo-top (or even, in rare cases, solo-mid). Taric could shit on any sort of traditional AD at the start super, super hard because you have 100 armor and they don't, but he was reliant on the efficiency of Imbue and the fact that he had a secondary heal worth a damn in Radiance. Chalice Taric was absurd in his ability to keep himself and his teammates alive, and the power of Dazzle+Shatter was enough to push the squishy ADs that used to be common out of lane.
Lots has changed since then, of course, but against champions with poor sustain or champions with low HP, it'd probably still work. Of course, like I said before, you couldn't actually win a game running him, but he can win lanes, and that's the question. I'll stop before I veer too far into champion discussion, but if anyone wants to bring it over to the Taric thread, we can talk shop there.

speaking of Viktor, apparently someone figured him out before last patch. look up "Terreo" on NA. 83% win ratio in Ranked. he's only around 1600ish, but watch for this guy now that Viktor is actually strong.

did anyone do the maths for the new mastery already? another noob trap like havoc, or legit? my gut feeling says its good especially for nice ratio scaling champs.

Admittedly I don't ranked much, but I've been trying to promote the shit out of Viktor on these forums ^^ He really is quite strong, the only time I feel he falls off is in the real late game; the long cd's and missing itemslot kind of haunt him at that point.

Mathematically it´s about equal overall but since the big advantage was getting a "free" crit in lane and taking advantage of that luck it´s a nerf in practice.

Fed sona OP. Sona always seems to somehow get a lot of kills, but no worries she's prit gud. Getting Dcap and Lichbane on sona is fun as hell.

You can download the patch now and the status says servers are online.

Edit: Alas, still buggy. Redditors are reporting that games fail on load screen. At least download and logging in works.

All that AoE + global from ziggs looks like he's gonna rape on dominion.

Just played a bots game with Ziggs, he feels pretty good.
Also, was cool to play a bots team with Kayle, Zilean, and Fiddlesticks.

His Passive is actually really strong, with AP runes and a Dring it did 40 damage at level one, and when i hit 18 with about 400 ap it did a solid 250 extra damage. I'd also say he is a damn mana hungry champion... but I don't usually play AP carries, so maybe I am just crazy.
