Her clearing is super fast, her tankiness is very nice (dat teamfight), but her ganks feel pretty sub-par without any hard CC or gap closer until 6. Even then, you generally don't want to engage with your ult, I feel. She's strong, but I don't think she's ban worthy imo. Then again, I haven't played many good Shyvana players, so I could be bloody wrong. They don't play shyvana to gank lanes. That's why nobody played her before. So you just play her like a "fourth laner", where she just clears and clears and sometimes invades? Sounds... pretty fun, actually. I might pick her up, is her kit fun?
Watch m5 games at IEM Kiev. You'll understand. Basically you don't need to gank when you just kill their jungler/laners in their jungle.

She's sort of in an interesting place, IMO. She can't really play a 1st/2nd position carry because she doesn't scale super well lategame, but at the same time she doesn't really push the early game tempo very well because of her lack of early ganking potential.
Her strength is in her innate survivability from her ult, and her high baseline ability damage, which makes her a strong 2nd/3rd position semicarry for making shit happen midgame to open up room for a big lategame carry to farm. Alternatively, you could pick a midgame focused team that tries to go all-in and end the game off midgame fighting power, but that's much riskier.

You cant do the last part, its not just risky, its asking to get your ass kicked. Her midgame is WAY to variable to actually build a team around it. If shyv is underfarmed at ALL she becomes useless, and you lose the game by trying to force stuff.

TSM got first blood with MF getting kill. AL's jungler GP is really far behind. 4 man dive at bottom tower, TSM kills both takes tower then does Dragon.
|
GP has no buffs and TOO has been stealing camps left and right.
|
TSM almost ace near top go for Baron but AL surrenders. Really surprising that TSM is doing so well given that they haven't practiced and have two non 30s

Has anyone tried out the new Locket properly? The only game where I played support and grabbed it my Zigg had 947 AP. Everything just died in 3 seconds couldn't really tell if the shield did anything :/. Would be nice to know if the item's worth getting for some support heros.
|
Really good objective control from TSM. It seems like they're learning a lot of stuff from M5.

Edit: Nvm, didn't refresh the thread, conversation moved, and question answered.

That was sort of my problem with playing Rammus in normals to try it out. I've been to lazy to ranked and get a real-world application, though. I think it's a decent support item, but not something I'd get early unless I was like leona/taric/ali.

The jury's out on the new support items, but it feels a lot easier to get Zeke's than it felt to get Stark's on supports and it seems to make sense to do so on like Sona/Taric/Alistar with triple AD teams. Locket's effect feels really small, but might be good, idk. The gold value of the effective HP it adds to your whole team seems good, but it doesn't have a clutch feel to the effect and seems best used like, right at the start of the fight rather than to save someone. I could see stacking 2-3 of them on a team being really powerful if they stack (has anyone tested this yet?)

But EVERYONE loves Daft Punk! + Show Spoiler +
Can anyone here tell me why pro players smurf so much? They all have several accounts and we regularly see them leveling up new ones on stream. Why do they do this? If it just for our entertainment? I can't think why they would need 6 level 30 summoners....

Sometimes you'd like to just play a match and not wait 20-40 minutes in the queue. I know that used to be a problem, but I'm not certain that's still the case.
