If true, good on them. The whole "only 5 people on a team" never made much sense to me, given that you NEED all 5 for quals, and then you run into problems like CLG had when ele was gone and they didnt qualify for MLG. With a full 5 sub team they can A, practice inhouse, and B, ensure they always are ready for action.

Where's stream for this tournament?

I don't even get what they hope to accomplish with this.

I think this point can hardly be overemphasized. Being able to try new strategies out without revealing it to a rival in a scrim must be valuable (I guess the problem is that their subteam won't quite be up to par compared to one of their rivals for fair testing of new strategies).

That explains why Lapaka is in the CLG Ranked Team on Client.

One of the strengths of TL is how dedicated its volunteers are, especially considering all they do for the site pro bono. It's unique positioning at the time also helped make it the #1 site. TSM, CLG, AL and other sites right now are trying similar things... It's just a question of how to you make yourself better than everyone else and offer exactly what people want?

I think the utility of her ult and her immense ability to push make up for her sub-par late game scaling. I could be wrong though.
Also, her passive is excellent.

If the tourney has a limit on who can be on your roster, you just ask the 10 guys on your team who can make it, and make a list of 7. But imagine how much easier it will be to do that now that you have an actual pool or people you KNOW are forced to take responsibility.

Whats a good champ to SoloQ level to 30? I've looked at elementz tier list but I'm not really a fan of any of those champions with the exception of Kass and Nid, and I'm quite inclined to get Nid and just do a brawler build, and I've been avoiding getting kass because he's just impossible to farm with now.. The only thing is that I want to be an all around champion so if I have a bad team I'd still be able to carry my team to bring it to at least an even footing.
Anyone got any suggestions? I like playing burst champions and champions that have a bunch of mobility; Kass, Nid, Renekton, ect.

If you like kass, nid, and renek, just play them.

Riven is incredibly fun and gratifying to play. She's pretty mobile as well and her burst is amazing both early and late game due to her high combo damage and amazing scaling. The issue I always seem to have though is that everyone in my games wants to play the top lane. I don't get fully why. Lately though I've seen really few ADs in solo-normal so I've had to play a lot of Caitlyn. Of course, leveling to 30, jungle is the most guaranteed free role in any game. For that, I suggest Shyvana. She's so amazingly silly strong/fun to play in the new jungle.

Anyone got any suggestions? I like playing burst champions and champions that have a bunch of mobility; Kass, Nid, Renekton, ect. Just play a variety of champs to learn how they work. Leveling to 30 isn't really as important as learning what to do. Even when you reach level 30 you'll still be pretty bad (everyone is), so there's no sense to rush it by spamming just one champ.

If you like kass, nid, and renek, just play them. Well I don't have a problem doing good, its just if my team is terrible or makes a few mistakes its like instant loss [obviously -__-] I just wanted to know if there were any more character suggestions. n__n I'm pretty competitive so even if I know the loss isn't my fault I still get pretty choked about losing.

I know how most champions work as I've played about 95% of the champions, I'm just looking to find more champions that I'll have fun with that can do an insanely good job at survive-ability. I've also come to the assumption that it's just better to learn one champion until 30 spend all your IP on runes and then branch off from there. Least that's what one of my friends had told me. I don't intend on going out and buying 10 champions just to learn them especially if I don't find them in the least bit entertaining to play.

Hm yeah I've watched a lot of people play Riven and I've heard nothing but good things from her. Maybe I'll give her another shot. [The only time I had was the first day she was out and she was incredibly weak. x__x;]

Combined all replies into one. You guys reply fast holy. xD;

Buy a couple champs, then buy mostly runes. Play what's free.
|
You will inevitably lose ~50% of your games anyways. So if you lose 55% for a while because you play a champ that you like, should you care?
It's a grind to level 30. Really, it is. The last few levels take SO FUCKING LONG. Try to have fun. It's just normal games anyways. You shouldn't give a damn about win or loss in those.

So true, I bought a ton of sustain junglers from 10-20 and aoe junglers like skarner and udyr are so much better with the right runes. I would play only free champs until you find out the ones that really interest you, then buy them and get good with them while you fill out some generic rune pages for that class of character.
