HoN has a very different metagame than DoTA 2, different mechanics, lots of new heroes, and there are quite a few people at all skill ranges who prefer the gameplay, even after trying the DoTA 2 beta. Will it suffer once DoTA 2 comes out? Sure, and so will LoL (though probably to a lesser extent). It's far from dead, though, and it's just blatant mischaracterization to assume so. | ||

I have a feeling that something a lot like metagolem is gonna become standard on her. Also, I've had great success starting EQW. E is fantastic for early melee trades, especially in combination with Q. I don't like to get W until level three since it tends to push the wave pretty hard. Only real downside is that it feels hella hard to hit with E. Maybe I'm just terrible (or too used to cait's Q), but it feels like the projectile has a smaller hitbox than most similar projectiles. | ||

If you're into jungling get Skarner, I wouldn't drop 6300 on Kennen or EZ right now because Riot has been reducing the price of the older champs and its only a matter of time before those guys drop in price. If you tend to play a lot of range carries or ap champs be my guest but thats my 2 cents. | ||
