Leona can do with a bit of a buff too though. She feels so clunky and slow despite her gap closer and her ult is pretty meh. I would LOVE it is they buff Leona. She is awesome but somewhat underwhelming at times.

Is that true? I have to wonder how financially viable the game would be without champ releases. And wouldn't the lack of new content just turn off a lot of players outright? Look at how much hype the riot forums put out over every champ. "riot who designed this champ?" "does anyone else think this champ will be op?" "i want to know a technical detail about skill X that i could find out five minutes after release" "i have a joke about the new champ's theme/art", all that other garbage. People get incredibly excited about something that happens every two weeks, take that away and most people won't have anything to keep them thinking about the game while they're not playing it. That's essential to getting people really hooked.

Gangplank: He is still a bit strong, this coming from a solo top player. The nerf wont really hurt him, but he is in a very good spot now. Kog'Maw: He needed a nerf, and I think this was a perfect one. Time will tell if he is still too strong, but good nerf. Orianna: I expect to start seeing her again after this buff, people always freak out on buffs and think things are op. Shaco: Alright buffs, helps his jungle, his ganks will be super nasty now though. Skarner: I still think he won't be too strong, but then again not sure. Talon: Good nerfs, but they should really increase his AOE mana cost, he can spam that thing all day Gunblade: Another good nerf, but I am actually really surprised Akali wasn't nerfed. If she is still too strong this patch, she will definitely be getting nerfs next patch. Overall: Can't complain about too much, excited for Graves, even though I don't really play AD heroes.

Is that really a big shaco buff? I must have missed something o.o; His lvl3 ganks will be stronger? He'll show up with a whopping 32 more HP than before o.o;

His passive makes him tanky, his Q sounds much more effective at close range than long, and his E is a gap-closer. I suppose it'd be possible to build him either way, and it'll depend on his numbers too. But to me he sounds like more fun to run him top lane, build him tanky, and shit all over anyone without a gap closer. No idea really, but it would be interesting to have a character with those two possible roles. I say we shouldn't try to pigeon hole him into one or another, and try to make both work. If his stats are high enough that this is the case, he single handedly makes a new meta around himself.

Then I came on the various forums and absolutely everyone was talking about him as a new AD carry. I was jsut wondering if it had been confirmed somewhere that this was his intended role. Though, admittedly, a lot of characters really don't fit their intended roles (see: supports). On October 19 2011 12:20 Cixah wrote: This is already a really bad idea. Plus he doesn't seem to have any long-range harass, and top lane chars build to shrug off a lot of autoattack harassment in lane.

Reguardless of what range he has, he can use that to litterally zone out top lane just because he is ranged and they are not. Even if they somehow get in to stop him from doing so, hes a "ranged bruiser" so he trades with them on the same level of abilites. Plus he has an attack speed steriod/gap closer/gap make. He has a "blind" and a short range nuke that gets stronger if you try and get in on him. Imagine if udyrs tiger stance had vayne's range. Do you see what retard strong issues this makes?

I just heard about people talking about a new AD carry, but I don't know if that is riots official statement or just peoples assumptions. I think it's more fun if riot release a new champion, then let the playerbase decide exactly how it should be played (runes, masteries, builds, roles in the team, play style, everything basicly). If something is WAY overpowered (in itself or just in the current meta), people will ban that champion. Then in a few weeks, riot will probably balance that in a patch. Everything shouldn't be 100% balanced and figured out in the release patch, just let the meta evolve and we'll see what happens.

Isn't teemo already pseudo-filling this role? He's ranged who can blind your opponent (blind means can't trade effectively) has a gap closer / opener in the form of the MS increase on his W, and his E means you don't even want to be trading with him in the first place because that DoT hurts, especially when consistently applied. In theory, any ranged ad could fill that role with defensive runes/masteries and an opener.
