Deathcap -> Void Staff -> Abyssal Scepter -> Rylai's going to be core, if not necessarily in that order. | ||

DBlade start > boots > DBlade (can maybe skip this one) > Boots2 > Bruta > AtMog's > Ghostblade > whatever. Works pretty well, a bit of a power dip while building AtMog's, but not too bad. I've been wanting to try some new builds, but free week means so many bad instalocks I've been thinking DBlade > Boots > DBlade > Boots2 > Phage > Atma's > FMallet > Ghostblade. A bit tankier, but AtMallet is pretty good in it's own right. The thing about Riven is this: you scale off AD better than nearly any other bruiser type, thanks to your passive, all your abilities, and the crazy good Ult. So, you generally don't need as much AD as, say, Garen, Wukong, or Trynd, just because you get so much more out of it. You can afford to build a bit more tanky and still do damage. Jungling is viable with pretty much the same build, but you have to start wolves unless you have help with blue. Ganks early are good at nearly any level, but you have very low jungle sustain. As a side note, I'm still iffy about Wriggle's. It's very situational. Nice if you're getting bullied in your lane and need early defensiveness/lifesteal, and the ward is cool, but if you're even or winning your lane, it just doesn't feel worth the large cost. | ||

Atmogs/Atmallet seems silly on her the same reason it is on Jax. Yeah it's cost-effective, but it really doesn't *fit* her. Again, she gets HP value from AD, so its stupid to build an item that's all HP on her first. Ghostblade on the other hand, feels like too much money in the wrong place. She's a late-game hard carry, buying a midgame DPS item like Bruta is just treating her the wrong way, and the GB active does nothing for her Just build her like a Jax that only benefits from AD instead of hybrid items. Bloodthirster as you first big damage item. GA/QSS as your core survivability items. IE/LW to round out as secondary damage items. As far as her role, her lategame as a melee carry is potentially stronger than Jax, because she has similar free survivability, more AoE damage, and effectively gets 1.8 AD and 3-5 HP out of every 1 AD she actually buys. | ||

Jax gets actual hp from AD, he can heal up, when riven's E is on cd it does nothing at all for her, saying you shouldn't get HP on her and comparing her to jax is kinda dumb. | ||
