Each month, over 4 million people log in to play. And on each day, 1.4 million summoners play League of Legends together. When we’re at our busiest, over 500,000 people in North America and Europe are in game at the same time. On average, more than 10 games of League of Legends start every second of every day. As we expand into Asia and abroad, the possibilities around live, global events makes the game enthusiast in all of us shake with excitement.(...)"

It might have something to do with their community. From what i've heard it's een worse than lol's. Also the early access thing I even worse than lol's system. Can't even buy them without real money.

Sure thing black ops has sell for one billion dollar or whatever but how many ppl that owns black ops even know MLG exist... IMO MLG should be about PC gaming and I think they're slowly making the move. Not only it's were competitive gaming is at but It's were the viewers at.

SC2 is the only game I have stayed up til 4 am to watch, I love watching SC2 games even though I do not play anymore. I do currently play League of Legends, and I love both games. I am very excited to see both at MLG because they both have such a great feel to them to play and watch. I read through this whole thread and wanted to share my pov Viewing experience: SC2 is a great game to watch because even if you don't know what is going on you know player A needs to kill Player B to win. There is no other objective just kill them to win. I relate this to watching Tennis, Even if you know nothing about the game you know one guy has to beat the other and the players are the same the only thing that changes is the court (map) The court has a lot to do with who wins and can sometimes favor a certain type of player more then others. This makes for a very easy to pick up and show to others game that is understandable even by people unfamiliar with the game. Now new people will not know what is actually going on or why the spin on the ball mattered so much (why did that BFH drop make the announcers go crazy?!) But when a great defense of an attack happens it is like watching a great volley the longer it goes the more excitement builds and the crazier it feels when the player holds or breaks barely. Very fast pace very good game the more you know the better appreciation you get for the game. League of Legends is more like watching American Football, The field is always the same (1 map) but the teams are always different and some teams have stronger players then others. You always know the objective is to score but there are small victories through out the game. (think getting first downs and field goals) In football you play a back and forth game where a big play (team fight) can be a score (take down a tower or two) then you go back on Defense til there is another big play. This style lends it self very much the public once they know the goals and structure, Which I attribute to how good the announcers are, This is the biggest problem in League of Legends nobody is really explaining or color commentating. hopefully this will change when they release the Spectator mode as commentators will have much more practice. But if you don't know the spells for EVERY character you will be lost?! not really the animation and cartoony feel makes it so you see what is happening clearly and sometimes you are just amazed at some of the things that happen. Knowing all the moves is great but it is not needed, it is for fantasy players like back seat qb's who have more in depth look at the game and know the stats every player gets. They know why certain running backs will have great games against certain defenses but at the pro level the competition is so good you don't need to know that to enjoy. But it is so Casual play!: Yes the Game in its essence is Casual, because it is free to play. This is not a bad thing though, to keep with the analogy above SC2 is like Tennis because you appreciate the pro's for their skill and know you can not do it like they do. Also it takes money to play Tennis, and a lot of dedication, practice and determination. League of Legends is like football in that you can watch a pro game then grab a ball for next to nothing (free to play) and go play with your friends in the yard acting like you are Manning throwing it to Clark. (after dream hack a lot of people suddenly played Gragas thinking they were a pro) The game in its essence is easy to pick up and play but that only gives it a bigger audience and keeps more people involved but the pro's are still much, much better then any back yard players there are. HoN is better! Everyone has their own taste, Some people love baseball because it is America's sport. They are each great in their own way. Dota 2 will most likely have a huge player base but if it is not Free 2 play they will not compete with the ease of entry to the Game. In the end I feel that this is great for the E-Sports community and can have a huge impact in the near future if Riot releases the tools for better commentators to be known. I for one will be watching both through out MLG !

There's nothing to support that they're shifting to PC over consoles. It's simply a matter of numbers for the game being added. Drawing a conclusion based on one change is foolish.
