Reminds of the days where I 1-based carriers in broodwar and managed to lose to easy comps. There are no difficulties in BW. Well at least unless you create a custom map, which I doubt you did.

Even if I could take games over other D level players, normal builds didnt work against the comp for me. It took you 2 months to learn that if you hit their nexus/cc/hatch with your scout all their workers agro to it and chase it around???

not interested in that design philosophy, probably won't play it... oh well I mean I know that's super minor but it's the kind of thing where I can see what other design decisions would need to go with that one and I don't like them why not just hide health bars and force you to click on enemy heroes to see how low they are, that makes as much sense to me

Hiding enemy mana bars is pretty normal, doesn't SC2 do that as well?

It's part of the strategy behind scouting the nexus' energy and determining how much they are saving up for an early warp gate push or picking up high energy queens with phoenixes so they can't transfuse. I think they were hidden in BW though.

DotA2 doesn't really give a fuck, as it's entire purpose is to copy DotA as faithfully as possible gameplay wise. In fact, hardcore DotA fans would argue that moba's have not 'evolved,' they have gotten sloppy and forgiving; not counting interface improvements and things like matchmaking, which DotA2 is going to improve upon massively from the first.
